When Jan Leuschner asked me if I could carve a Wout van Aert spoon for him, I thought, “Why not?”
Then he added, “But he has to be on a bicycle.”
That was my first “uh-oh” 😆
Soon everyone started saying that he obviously needed a helmet as well. And of course, the helmet had to be removable. At that point I thought, “Uh-oh… even more!” 😅
Then came the next suggestion: “Could he have interchangeable heads?”
That was definitely the moment for a proper “Oh dear…” 🫣
But I decided to give it a try anyway, and the result became this scoop, inspired by the track at the end of Paris–Roubaix, with Wout riding triumphantly across them. 👌🚴♂️🏆
Jan, I hope you enjoy this spoon. It was carved for you with a great deal of love and fun.
