An incredible performance from Pieter Devos ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช and his 11-year-old home-bred mare Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Cicero Z), who delivered a double clear and an unbeatable jump-off round of 45.85 seconds to win the inaugural LGCT Grand Prix of Cairo beneath the Pyramids of Giza on Saturday.

After six 5* Grand Prix podiums this season, including second place in Rome just two weeks ago, the victory in the โ‚ฌ1 million Grand Prix crowns a remarkable year for the mare. A special congratulations to Pieter Devos, who takes this win with a mare bred in his own stables!

A superb performance from Abdel Saรฏd ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช and the 11-year-old Zangersheide gelding Wathnan Quaker Brimbelles Z (Quicksilver St Simeon x Hickstead), bred by Haras des Brimbelles, who delivered a double clear and the fastest jump-off round of the day in 35.27 seconds to win the LGCT Grand Prix of Rome on Sunday, strengthening their lead in the overall LGCT ranking.

Second place also went to a Z-horse: Pieter Devos ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช and his 11-year-old home-bred mare Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Cicero Z) were double clear as well, finishing just 0.61 seconds behind in 35.88 seconds.

Join the upcoming Zangersheide Breeders Trip to Italy! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

From 5 to 9 November 2026, Zangersheide invites you on an exclusive trip to Italy. A unique journey combining breeding, innovation, craftsmanship, culture and international show jumping in one inspiring programme.

Highlights include an exclusive visit to Erreplus, a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world's best-known saddle manufacturers, and a visit to Avantea, an international pioneer in reproductive technologies, as well as Mares of Macha, where we will enjoy a unique guided tour.

We will also attend Jumping Verona, one of the absolute highlights of the trip, where you can experience international show jumping at the highest level. In addition, Denis Necchi will give an exclusive lecture, sharing his expertise on modern horse breeding and developments within the industry.

Alongside the equestrian programme, there will also be time to experience Italian culture, including a w**e tasting and a visit to historic Verona, where you can explore the city at your own pace.

We look forward to sharing another unforgettable trip together!

On home soil in Lanaken, Django Z jumped his way onto the podium of the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for 6-year-olds. Angelique Bรถckmann and Django delivered two exceptional rounds, finishing less than a second from the world title in the jump-off.

Following in his fatherโ€™s footsteps: his sire Dourkhan Hero Z claimed the very same honour as Vice World Champion of the 7-year-olds before rising to 5* Grand Prix level. Two generations, two silver medals, one unmistakable stamp.

We are truly excited for the future of this special stallion!
