Maker's Monday ✨

Not every piece needs replacing — sometimes it simply needs the right hands behind it.

This emerald and diamond ring came into our workshop requiring more than a standard repair. Over time, the original top plate had worn heavily, with multiple emeralds damaged and the setting no longer holding in the stones.

To restore the ring properly, we carefully remade the top plate in 18ct white gold and replaced the emeralds, rebuilding the piece while preserving the original design and character that made it special to begin with.

Jewellery worn and loved over many years will naturally require more attention than others — but in many cases, pieces can be carefully rebuilt and restored back to their original condition to be worn and enjoyed again.

This ring was a treasured heirloom — a piece filled with history, meaning, and moments worth holding onto. While it was no longer suited to be worn in its original form, its story was far too special to leave behind.

Working closely with our client, we carefully reimagined the design — ensuring it could be enjoyed again, while preserving what mattered most.

Every garnet and pearl you see here has been carefully preserved from the original piece, reset by hand in our Unley Road studio to honour its past while giving it a future.
