June 3 marks two significant moments.

It is Mabo Day β€” the anniversary of the 1992 High Court decision that recognised the land rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, overturning the legal fiction of terra nullius.

And it is the final day of Reconciliation Week 2026.

But here is what we ask of you today: Don't let this be the full stop.

Reconciliation Week is a starting point. Not a destination.

The educators, services, and workplaces that make real difference come back on June 4, and keep going.

Update your environment. Keep the resources out. Have the conversations next week too.

Be All In β€” not just for 8 days. For the whole year.

Dear Educator,

You are doing important work this week.

The conversations you are starting, the spaces you are creating, the stories you are honouring, these things matter more than you know.

Even if you stumbled on a word.
Even if a child asked a question you didn't know the answer to.
Even if you felt uncertain, imperfect, or unprepared.

You showed up. You tried. You kept going.

That is what "All In" looks like in practice.

Connection before perfection. Every single time.

You are planting seeds that will grow beyond this classroom, beyond this week, beyond this year.

Thank you for the work you do.

50 Years of NAIDOC.

50 Years of celebrating culture, strength and achievement.

Created to commemorate this significant milestone, our NAIDOC Week 50 Years Deadly Eco Cutter & Stamp is a hands-on way for children to engage with this year's celebrations through play, creativity and conversation.

Featuring authentic Aboriginal artwork by Mara and Garawa artist, Russell Brown, this special design honours the legacy of those who have paved the way, while inspiring the next generation to learn, connect and celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Perfect for:
✨ playdough and clay invitations
✨ NAIDOC Week learning experiences
✨ sensory and creative play
✨ storytelling and discussion prompts
✨ fine motor development

As children press, stamp and create, opportunities emerge to talk about the significance of NAIDOC Week, the achievements of First Nations peoples, and the importance of culture, community and connection.

Because every generation has a role in carrying stories, knowledge and culture forward.

A SYMBOL of UNITY and IDENTITY πŸ’šπŸ’™βšͺπŸ–€

The Torres Strait Islander Flag, designed by the late Bernard Namok from Waibene, was the winning entry in a flag design competition.

His design incorporated the cultures and traditions of Torres Strait Islanders and reflected the strong connection to land and sea. 🌊🏝️

πŸ’š stripes = the land
πŸ’™ stripe = the sea
πŸ–€ stripe = represents the people
βšͺ Dhari headdress = islander culture
βšͺ ⭐with 5 points = the 5 island groups
🀍 White Dhari & Star = πŸ•Špeace

The flag was officially presented to the people of the Torres Strait at the 6th Torres Strait Cultural Festival in 1992.

A month later, the flag was recognised by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission and given equal prominence with the Aboriginal Flag.

On 14 July 1995, The Honourable William Hayden, Governor-General of Australia, proclaimed both the Aboriginal Flag and the Torres Strait Islander Flag as official β€˜Flags of Australia’ under the Flags Act 1953. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

More than a puzzle β€” a connection to Country, language and place.

Our Traditional Place Name Puzzle invites children to explore Aboriginal language and place names through hands-on, meaningful play.

As children fit the pieces together, they’re not only developing early learning skills, they’re beginning to understand that every place holds story, history and deep cultural connection.

This resource supports:
✨ problem-solving and critical thinking
✨ fine motor development
✨ language and vocabulary building
✨ recognition of traditional place names and Country
✨ conversations about identity, belonging and connection to place

We love seeing children slow down, explore the shapes and ask questions about the names and stories connected to the land around them.

Because learning about Country begins with knowing the names, stories and connections that have always been there.
