Quirky? Who, me? 😏

Thought it would be fun to double wrist with the doubly (is that even a word?) fantastic Marsden and Furneaux.

I can’t stress enough how thrilled I am that the 35mm cushion case collection exists. They’re just the perfect size for a smaller wrist, or for anyone who appreciates a vintage aesthetic.

Whether you prefer the clean white dial with those beautiful blue accents on the Marsden, or the juicy raspberry textured dial on the Furneaux, they both absolutely ooze elegance.

But the real question is… which one would you pick? 👀

🩵 Marsden
❤️ Furneaux

Can’t argue with Chromalight. My Yacht-Master and his Explorer II Polar were the perfect cinema companions today. 🫶🏻

I spy with my little eye 👁️

Still very much in the honeymoon phase of the .official Divine Craft Ultra Thin Tourbillon. I mean, wouldn’t you be?! 😍

I’ve been slowly but surely putting together a thorough review of this watch for .watch. There’s been so much to unpack, and the more I discover, the more appreciation I have for it.

Look forward to sharing the review with you all soon!

In the meantime, let’s enjoy this matchy-matchy moment where I’m dressed like a cake 🧁😂

Well this took me longer than expected 😂☀️⌚️

But with all this heat lately, I thought it’d be fun to compile 10 brilliant microbrand watches under 1k along with some really funky strap options that are absolutely perfect for summer adventures, beach days, pool hangs, road trips, and everything in between.

From colourful divers to ultra-light daily beaters, there are some seriously fun pieces in here.

So… what’s your pick of the bunch? 👀🔥

For the Love of EBEL!

A watchmaker very close to my heart. One I discovered by pure chance and fell head over heels for instantaneously, with the white dialed Sport Wave from the year 1997 and ignited my love affair with them ever since.

This year they celebrate 115 years of existence, which is not to be sniffed at.

And as a collector of their Neo vintage quartz models it’s been a joy to discover their modern lineup too, which feel no less beautiful quality than more historical models.

The newer watch in this series is the Sport Classic 29mm in quartz with a pastel blue sunray dial, iconic classic wave bracelet using the gold plating to highlight the stunning intricate design, which is my favourite bracelet to ever exist… So@much so I once asked if he was inspired by EBEL for the Streamliner to which he graciously said it was .

Although their new smaller Streamliner bracelets look suspiciously like EBEL 👀 (there I said it).

It has all the classic features I love about their pieces. Like signature 18kt gold bezel, and even a dusting of diamonds on the dial.

It’s fancy, but still in every day wear category.

Can you tell I like EBEL? 😂

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
uhem sorry for shouting 😂 I just needed to get your attention.

Now that I have it, let me passionately tell you that pastel pink is one of the most versatile colours you can have in your watch box. It’s basically a neutral. It suits every skin tone, works with bold colours, soft pastels, black, white… honestly, it just works.

If you weren’t convinced just look at the new and improved Seamaster 36 in pastel pink, styled here with contrasting pastel blue, feels very French patisserie chic 🩵🩷 Almost good enough to eat, don’t you think?

Smaller watches are having a serious moment, and the new Farer Marsden proves exactly why. Crisp white dial, electric blue details, and a perfectly balanced 35mm case that feels genuinely unisex rather than just “downsized.”

The glossy blue PVD numerals completely steal the show. Shifting from vibrant electric blue to deep royal tones depending on the light. Fresh, playful, and still incredibly refined.

And despite the compact size, there’s no compromise under the hood: a Swiss-made Sellita SW210-1 b Élaboré movement with top-grade finishing, bespoke Farer bridge, and those beautiful blued screws.

This is the kind of watch that reminds you smaller can still have huge presence. What’s your take on the Marsden? 💙⌚

💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 One of the things I love most about what I do here is showcasing microbrands. People brave enough to put their own creations out into the world deserve attention especially in watchmaking, where opinions can be loud and not always kind.

I’m drawn to watches for their design, creativity, and innovation, not status. That’s why giving smaller brands a platform matters to me, it might help someone discover a piece they’d otherwise never come across and end up loving.

This one from is weird in the best way. It makes you look twice. Even though it tells the time like any other watch, the designer chose to highlight unexpected numerals, place the crown at 8 o’clock, and turn the 5 o’clock date into a design feature.

I genuinely love it. It’s a conversation starter, it’s fun, and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Add to that a solid build, a Sellita movement, and a Hirsch leather strap, and you’ve got something that feels properly made for well under €1k.

It feels like exactly the kind of piece you’d spot at a watch meet and end up talking about more than anything else there.

And while we’re at it, can we talk about this red dress? Picked it up last week in Milan from .Perfect linen summer dress, paired with wedges from .

I’m genuinely surprised by how much I adore the Divine Craft Ultra Thin Tourbillon by .official. Tourbillons were always one of those things I admired from afar. Something I appreciated, but never really considered owning because they felt completely out of reach.

So having this on the wrist now genuinely feels a bit surreal. Huge credit to Peacock, who not only developed a beautiful in-house movement finished by hand, but also managed to make it incredibly slim at just 3.5mm thick. Paired with the 39.5mm case, it wears like a second skin. Easily one of the most comfortable watches I own in this size range.

It feels luxurious because it is luxurious. And while it’s certainly not cheap at just under $5k, when you consider the level of craftsmanship involved, the hand-finished movement, the fully hand-engraved dial by master artisan Zhao Yi, the 904L steel, and the finishing throughout it starts to feel like exceptional value.

This version is one of four colours available, each limited to just 108 pieces.

I’ll be putting together a much more in-depth review for .watch soon, including an interview with the incredibly talented Zhao Yi, the artist behind those beautifully micro-engraved dials.

What do you think of this one?

Back home to the fresh air of Switzerland 🇨🇭 As much as I love the rhythm of the city, I can never stay away from nature for too long. It feeds the soul.

Huge thanks to .russell for capturing this free-spirited lakeside moment so beautifully, inspired by the stunning Classico Blu from .

What I admire most about Arsène Lippens is their sense of restraint and timeless elegance and fantastic ex*****on for the price. Their watches feel refined, fresh, and somehow as though they’ve existed for decades already. Beautiful proportions, understated presence, and dimensions that wear effortlessly on so many wrist sizes. Always elegant without ever trying too hard. Styled here in a silk polkadot skirt I bought around 15 years ago (always buy quality) and a beautiful silk wrap top by finished with an absolute summer staple of mine aka wedged espadrilles.

Bravo 👏🏻 What do you think of Arsène Lippens?
