So pleased that restrictions for weddings conducted from December 2020 are to be relaxed even further (getting closer to normal).
January bookings are strong and hopefully couples will be able to proceed with celebrations they have planned for their big day!
Looking forward to a busy year

August/September have been very busy months for Abbey Ceremonies.
Most of my bookings are going ahead as planned, but due to Covid restrictions some couples have chosen to defer their September ceremonies until the new year.
That said, guest number limits have increased since May, but with covid restrictions still in place this is creating some planning problems for couples. As the weather is starting to warm up, outdoor venues are becoming a more popular choice for couples.
Bookings are starting to roll in for 2021 and January thru March are proving to be popular months. Let's hope that more restrictions will be lifted and wedding ceremonies can start to return to "normal".
Till next time.

Congratulations to you both....

Great news!
Wedding numbers have now increased from 5 to 10, so hopefully we are on our way back to normal ceremony processes in the next few weeks.
Most of Abbey Ceremony clients who were, booked for April/May have rescheduled to dates in August/September and with continued improvement to the number of new cases being recorded in NSW, it's possible that those will go ahead with guest numbers and at venues as planned.
Fingers crossed!!

It's a crazy time for all businesses, and of course the wedding industry has now been impacted on quite a few levels.
That said, I am still taking bookings for 2021, when hopefully all this madness is behind us.
Initial consultations (3 people) with required social distancing are quite manageable in my home office and if this should change, I will be sure to contact you.
Of course, I am still able to perform ceremonies under the current guidelines limiting overall numbers to five - which in some cases may be quite suitable and meet your needs.
However, for anyone wishing to defer their wedding until a later date that is absolutely possible, just send a text or email with the new date you have in mind, and I'll enter it into my diary. Do take care, stay healthy and safe.
Until next time...…..

2020 is off to a great start, two weddings in February and quite a few bookings coming in for later in the year.
Some crazy weather patterns this month leaving outdoor weddings in a bit of a pickle.
Let's hope as we move into Autumn weather settles down.
Till next time.......

Hoping that everyone thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas break.
It's back to the office for me, Abbey Ceremonies re-opened for trade on the 27th Dec after a short break.
Have already had to put pen to paper for an existing client, and spoke briefly with new client wanting a wedding in late January.
Looking forward to a busy year, take careĺ

Well my final wedding for 2019 was on the 1st December - weather gods were kind to us on the day, and luckily before all this yukky smoke started hovering around the Coast!
My books are now closed for holidays (except for 2020 bookings). Next round of ceremonies will start back in February, at the beautiful Japanese Gardens. One of my favourite venues on the Central Coast.
Trust you will all have a wonderful Xmas, stay safe and I'll be looking forward to another busy year in 2020.
Cheers

It's Springtime and the phone has been ringing non stop, plenty of weddings being planned or underway.
Have a wedding tomorrow and another next Saturday, so hopefully, weather stays fine and some new pics to post.

I've had a lot of interest from couples just wanting a very simple and straightforward marriage. In the trade we call these a "legals only" wedding.
In essence, you can marry with just 5 people present -- The couple, two witnesses and myself. However, you still need to allow one months notice, unless you apply for a shortening of time through the courts.
So if your just looking to have a very simple and uncomplicated ceremony I'd be pleased to facilitate something for you. Just call or message me for a quote.
Cheers

Typically June and July are quieter months for our industry. However, plenty of couples are making enquiries/bookings for 2020. Appears to me it will be a bumper year ahead !!

It's been a busy month, meeting with couples and planning ceremonies for 2020.
If you haven't already marked it in your diary don't forget the "Getting Hitched" wedding expo at Mingara on Sunday 16th June between 10.00 & 3.00pm. Plenty of stands representing the wedding industry if you are planning your own special day.
I'll be taking a short break at end of May, but will still be in contact via email if any of my existing or interested new clients wish to contact me.
Regards
Gail
