This opal! An Australian solid Boulder Opal from Far North Queensland. It’s been in my gem collection for a while. I handpicked it for its fantastic play of colour, I remember I just fell in love with it. The opal needed an outfit! Back on my workbench, I decided to re-cut it slightly, very carefully and only a little bit, to reveal its natural character and I wanted to be a tiny bit more square. Then it was ready to be handcrafted into this sculptural yellow gold statement ring.
The whole process takes time, but I knew what I wanted the ring to look like.

There will never be another exactly like it.

Perhaps that’s what makes it so compelling, a truly unique stone, made by nature, refined and finished by hand.

This piece is available now for someone who feels connected to jewellery with a story as individual as their own.

I worked on this piece, over the last few weeks. Once a collection of treasured pieces, given a new life.

For this ring, we reused my customer’s mum’s diamond and gold from heirloom jewellery, bringing rose gold and yellow gold together with the diamond beiden the hero. The brief was also to make this a finer piece so I finished with a softer profile and a special engraving on the inside to keep the special memories. ♥︎

It’s such a privilege to create jewellery like this, each one completely unique, with memories that deserve to be worn every day! So special!

There’s something incredibly rewarding about giving old jewellery a new life. ✨

This is one that I have finished last week. The brief was to remodel, using the old and sentimental diamonds into something new! We choose a “crown style design”, a ring and earrings.
Knowing these treasured pieces will be worn and loved again is why I do what I do.

There’s something about sapphires… 💙

I love making this one. The deep blue catches the light so beautifully, and every little detail was carefully considered along the way.

It’s always special seeing an idea become a piece that will be worn and enjoyed for years to come.

A special piece in the making! We are using the old gold and a special diamond, a two-tone blend of yellow and rose gold is taking shape, carefully handcrafted to hold something truly priceless… Mum’s diamond.

It’s not set and finished just yet, but even at this stage you can see it shaping up. I can see the finished ring already! Soon, a treasured family diamond will have a new life, ready to be worn and loved for generations to come.
