The most wonderful thing about having a business are the people that you come across. Yvette from was my neighbour in Ramsgate for the 10 years that French Cargo was there. We met through a business community group about 5 years ago and have been friends since then. Supporting each other in business and in life. Yvette and her sister Jacquie have carried on the Christmas shop legacy that their mother started more then 30 years ago. Their shop is an icon at Ramsgate of all things that bring joy and happiness in people’s life.
I was not surprised that Yvette came to see me on my last week at the French Cargo shop. She has always been supportive and was always around if I needed help. But her gift caught me by surprise because she gave it a lot of thought and love. The beautiful Christmas ornament by which the Christmas store stock, was an absolutely precious gift . « It shows the love of the Christmas shop and French Cargo » and it was truly special and a gift that i will treasure.
When special people come into your life, that is a blessing. The sadness of closing my French Cargo store was duly noted by Yvette and she would pop in almost everyday in my last week to see how I was. She helped me pack boxes, brought me coffee and helped me clean up, even though her work schedule was super tight, she would always make time to cross the road and see if I needed any help. True friendships like that are hard to find. Please follow the and support small and local business. The girls do an amazing job bringing the spirit of Christmas to life.
