I just love it so!

Those diamonds are so unique and special.
Have you heard of old mine cut diamonds before? They are a cushion shape but rather than having a modern brilliant-cut, they are cut in a vintage style.
They tend to be characterised by those larger facets.

Congratulations again to my gorgeous customers on the upcoming birth of their baby. I love that Jackson couldn’t wait to present the ring to Lauren as soon as he got home from collecting it ✨

A special ring to celebrate an extra special tiny new arrival 👶🏼
It feels really important to have made Lauren’s engagement ring, wedding ring and now a ring to symbolise hers and Jackson’s new arrival. I know they’re going to be the most incredible parents.

I loved working with Jackson on this gorgeous push present - featuring three old mine cut diamonds ✨

…for the month of July.

✨ Well that caught your attention! ✨

Yup, every winter I close for a month. It was always in my plan when I set up my business and it’s one of the main reasons I keep my business small (but mighty) and manageable…because I don’t want to even think about work when I’m overseas.
Often, in Aussie winter, I’ll head back to Wales, where I grew up, to spend quality time with my loved ones. As important as Bert is to me, being able to spend time with my mum uninterrupted, is more important. I also generally try to sneak in a little European holiday too.

❤️‍🔥 So with that in mind, here’s my seven week warning ❤️‍🔥

• If you are hoping for a ring before August, please email
[email protected]
within the next 2-3 weeks and we’ll get the ball rolling.

• Rings take me 5 weeks to make, so I still have capacity to make rings in the next 7 weeks, but you MUST get in touch in the next 2-3 weeks.
After that, the next batch of rings that I make will be due at the end of August.

Thank you for following me along on this journey and for your patience. I’ve always chosen to run my business my way and when people have asked me about scaling up, hiring more staff, opening a shop, this is probably my main reason why I don’t.
I have full control of every detail of Bert. I can give my customers 100% of me when I’m here and I can close and immerse myself in life outside of work when I’m away.
I appreciate you.

They nestled into each other. Perfectly. As though I’d purposely made them to sit alongside eachother.

I’d made them separately — Runa’s first, while making her engagement ring.
Then I started on Celeste’s wedding ring.
I thought about them individually and envisaged how they’d sit with their respective engagement rings the whole way through. And then I brought them together for these videos and just… oh! 😍 Wow.

I think that’s the thing about making rings for two people who are meant for each other. Sometimes they just fit.

The coolest engagement and wedding ring set 😍
Made for the coolest couple 💫

I loved working with Runa last year on Celeste’s round diamond engagement ring and loved quietly planning Runa’s engagement ring with Celeste.
I love that the wedding rings are almost the same but stack with completely different engagement rings - each representing their own style.
I didn’t get a shot of Celeste’s set together but swipe right ➡️ through to the end to see a quick video 🤍

Aww I feel so lucky that I get to share in my customers joy 🥹
I received these photos and video on Saturday night and they made my day!
Runa had proposed to Celeste (with a Bert ring) a year ago and Runa had expressed that she wasn’t really interested in having an engagement ring. But Celeste really wanted to be able to gift Runa something beautiful back.
Fast forward a few months ago, both Runa & Celeste emailed me enquiring about a meeting to discuss wedding rings. Sneakily, Celeste emailed me separately too asking for a super secret meeting to discuss an engagement ring for Runa ✨
I met with Celeste on a Monday, then I met with them both the following Monday. BUT my meeting with Celeste was the first time I’d ever met her, as I’d been working with Runa previously.
We had a brainstorm session, she brought such brilliant ideas to the table that I too, was sure Runa would love. (Chunky, gold, cool, curvy)
So when the following Monday rolled around, they both arrived for the meeting and as Runa introduced Celeste to me, we both had to pretend we’d never met before 😜
Runa thankfully didn’t suspect a thing and was so surprised when Celeste re-proposed to her on the weekend.
More on the rings soon, but aren’t these images just beautiful!
Congratulations Celeste and Runa 💫🌈💕

That sapphire 😍

There are some sapphires that I still think of and wonder if they’re thinking of me too. After all, we spent so much time together 💕 This was one of those rocks.
But I’m so happy it went to a good home - lovely Ruby & James. It was a pleasure to work with you 💚

Wishing beautiful Ruby and James congratulations on their engagement ✨
I loved making this ring and it was so nice to meet with them both to discuss design ideas and view a stunning, unique selection of sapphires in my studio. While I sketched, we chatted about her preferences in a ring and together, they narrowed down the sapphires to two absolute stunners. Both from Queensland, both radiant cut and just over 3ct each.
In the end, Ruby stepped away from the ring discussions and James and I took it from there. He selected the final sapphire and she knew nothing about when the proposal would take place.
This was back in October, and I was so thrilled to hear that they got engaged last month.
In my photos, the sapphire looks quite yellow ☀️ but in reality, it was far more green 🍃 with pops of teal 🌊 too. I’ll share more pictures soon, but for now, I wanted to share the love ❤️
