If you’ve followed me for a while, I wonder if you’ll guess correctly…

The issue wasn’t in the style of ring, which I adored.

Or the fact it wasn’t an engagement or wedding ring. I make jewellery for every occasion.

THIS!
Their newly born beautiful daughter’s birthstone was an aquamarine.
A beautiful gemstone.

Which isn’t hard enough for my liking.
Yes ChatGPT will tell you it’s durable enough. Yes the person working in the jewellery shop down the road will tell you it’s perfect for everyday wear.
But I’m here to tell you, in my opinion, it isn’t.

How? Because I remembered our conversations. She’s one of my best friends and I clearly recall making a mental note when she told me she adored my ‘Campbell’ engagement ring. My signature style featuring that swept-over semi bezel that I first made over 11 years ago.
She still remembered one of the first I made that featured a peach sapphire, but wondered how it would look with a more “coppery” gemstone.

She’d loved the asymmetrically set diamonds too so I leaned into that with her engagement ring.
Whenever friends tell me about rings of mine that they love, I scribble it in my sketchbook…whether they’re in a relationship or very much single, I know that one day, I’ll get the call 📞

When the light hits the sapphire just right ✨

This sapphire just seems to capture all of the colours in nature that I love. The sun, the trees, the ocean, the sky.
It was an absolute pleasure to make this engagement ring for Nick and Rowan. They’ve been together a long time and they’re very happy. I believe both thought they wouldn’t marry. They’d discussed it and were totally fine with it! But then BAM! Nick reached out to me enquiring about engagement rings and what the process was. He chose this sapphire and the wheels were in motion. Through our entire discussions, I didn’t realise that both Nick and Rowan are Welsh (like me) and chatting to them both (him initially and her once he’d proposed) made me so happy that this little symbol of cariad, this beautiful Australian sapphire, encompasses colours of the Welsh mountains contrasting with the Australian beaches. Their past, present and future.

Owen had such a good idea of what he wanted when he approached me to make this incredible engagement ring for his love Georgia. 🤍 We liaised back and forth, first via email as he was in the UK and while on a brief visit to Sydney we squeezed in a meeting and went over the final details. Once he was back in London, we picked things up again and this was the result.
We knew that we wanted the diamonds to step down and frame the main diamond perfectly and I love that this ring looks modern yet somehow vintage at the same time. It is such an incredible ring.
