My first successful shell cast 🐚🔥

A little lab grown sapphire in sterling silver. Sadly this was just a practice run and is going to be melted again. The shell is too big and used waaaayyyy too much silver, but now I know I can 💪

I stayed in a place by the sea, in an old cottage with a secret beach. It was the most wonderful privilege. Inspiration poured from me. I found it on every horizon, every step taken, even in death.

1. Secret cave revealed at low tide

I’m taking a break! My hand surgery and writing residency have coincided, so while I can’t make jewellery I will be in a world of creative immersion and (hopefully) finishing the third draft of my manuscript 🤞

Agate, brass and a gorgeous baroque pearl. I feel a little like Bilbo not wanting to part with the ring on this one 😅
