Mother’s Day is sneaking up again, which means Samford may shortly be full of people wandering around saying things like “she said she didn’t want anything…” while quietly panicking.

If you’re still figuring it out, we’ve just unpacked a lot of new jewellery at Feel Crystals, including some really lovely ready-to-gift sets, crystal hearts and a few special gemstone bracelets we don’t often get in this quality.

And honestly, one of the nicest ways to do Mother’s Day is probably not overcomplicating it. Come into the shop together, wander through the crystals and jewellery, then head next door to villagekitchensamford for lunch and a wine. Easy.

As a mother-daughter business ourselves, we know the best gifts are usually the ones that feel thoughtful rather than overdone.

Not everything deserves suitcase space.
These did.

Earlier this month we flew to Arizona’s Tucson Gem Show to hand-select new pieces — stone by stone, supplier by supplier.

Most of the crystal stock is still making its way back to Samford.

But the jewellery?

That travelled home in our suitcases.

We’ve just come back from the Tucson gem show in Arizona — the world’s biggest gem show — and honestly… some of the pieces we saw were wild.

Specimens taller than us.
Crystals with their own security detail.
One Kunzite that cost $160,000 (yes, really).

Obviously… that one didn’t come home.

But some very special jewellery pieces did and we’re hosting a small launch night for them at our store.

It’s a relaxed wander-through evening with bubbles, wine, nibbles and a proper try-on session (no rushing).

Well this was a surprise… 👀

If you’ve wandered down Main Street lately, you might’ve spotted something strange above the old barber shop at number 33…

Yep — that’s us! Or at least, it was us.

Before we moved across the road to our leafy little spot at 16 Main Street (next to Village Pizza 🍕), this was the original home of Feel Therapies & Crystals.

Back then, it was massage tables, acupuncture—and shelves full of sparkling crystals.

And that logo? With the mysterious floating hands?
Let’s just say… we lovingly call it the “creepy hands” era.

Someone recently peeled back the old sign, and like magic, a whole decade of memories appeared.

We even found an old Village Pump newspaper ad featuring the whole family in action — Greg doing treatment, Isabelle chatting with customers, and yep, a very excited little kid holding a massive crystal.

We’ve been at 16 Main for almost 9 years now, but we still hear from customers who didn’t realise we’d moved—some thought we vanished entirely! We didn’t. We just tucked ourselves into a garden and kept doing what we love.

So if you remember the old days (or are just discovering us now), we’re still here, still local, and still helping you slow down, breathe… and Feel.
