One of Australia’s Most Exceptional Sapphires⌇
There’s a few reasons this sapphire is incredibly special.
Firstly, the size.
A 3.11ct clean Australian sapphire, is already in its own class of rarity. The rough trot that Aussie sapphires have coming to the surface, result in very few being of this size.
On top of that — orange being the rarest Australian sapphire colour. A juicy dosage of chromium and iron get us that vibrant orange.
Then stack on the fact that this is a freeform. Our cutter blessed us with this cut style to feed into our irregular cluster design. Honestly, this should never have been a freeform. Sapphires of this calibre are typically cut into classic your cut styles.
Stones like this, are once in a lifetime. Once it’s gone, we’re not seeing another. It’s not just rare, it really shouldn’t exist.
We’re honoured to have this beauty in our collection.
Provenance: Subera, Queensland.
