Last year, my partner went to visit family in Australia, marking his first trip back in over a decade. During his stay, his friend took him to your store to meet Stelios with whom he selected this sapphire to bring back to me as a gift. I received the stone on my birthday, and soon after, I had it set into a ring. I sketched out the design, and a goldsmith (Toronto) brought the piece to life. I’ve always adored sapphires – I used to wear a small one on a chain for years, which is why my partner thought of this idea (buying a sapphire from Australia). Now, I’m delighted to wear it on my finger, and it’s especially meaningful knowing it was sourced and purchased on the other side of the world.
