Two very different expressions of the Day-Date. 🧊💚

The Platinum Day-Date 40 ref. 228396TBR pairs its signature ice-blue sunburst dial with a full factory diamond-set TBR bezel. The way the baguette-cut diamonds catch and throw light around the dial gives the platinum piece an unmistakable presence — icy, sharp and unapologetically special.

Beside it, the Yellow Gold Day-Date 40 ref. 228238 takes a more traditional approach. The iconic fluted bezel plays with light in its own way, while the rich lacquered “money green” dial creates a striking contrast against the warmth of yellow gold.

One is all about the brilliance of platinum, baguettes and sunburst ice blue. The other is classic Rolex — yellow gold, fluted bezel and that deep money-green lacquer.

💎 Ice Blue TBR or 💚 Money Green Fluted — which Day-Date are you taking?

Same price. Two very different Aquanauts. Which one are you taking? 👀

🟢 Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G Green — 2025
The bigger, bolder Aquanaut. A 42.2mm white-gold case, that unmistakable khaki-green gradient dial, and the substantial feel of precious metal on the wrist. Modern, striking and one of the most distinctive executions of the Aquanaut.

⚫️ Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time 5164A — 2022
Steel, more discreet and arguably the enthusiast’s choice. The Travel Time complication brings genuine everyday functionality, while this late-production example gets the upgraded 26-330 S C FUS movement with hacking seconds and the new-generation clasp — highly desirable end-of-run characteristics before the 5164A was discontinued.

One gives you white gold, presence and that incredible green dial.
The other gives you steel, complication, wearability and end-of-era collectability.

Now make it difficult…

💰 If both were offered to you at exactly the same price, which one are you choosing — 5168G Green or 5164A — and WHY?

👇 Let’s hear the verdict.

The Patek Philippe 5172G on the wrist 💙

That beautiful blue dial really comes alive in motion, with the contrasting white-gold case and syringe-style hands giving the watch its unmistakable vintage-inspired character.

At 41mm, the 5172G has real presence yet remains surprisingly elegant and comfortable on the wrist — especially impressive for a manually wound Patek chronograph.

A modern Patek with old-school charm, and a blue dial that looks even better in motion.

Rolex Platinum Day-Date 228396TBR or Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A with the iconic blue dial? 🔥

On one side, one of Rolex’s top-of-the-line creations: solid platinum, an ice-blue baguette diamond dial, and a TBR diamond-set bezel. Luxurious, unmistakable, and built to make a statement.

On the other, a simple stainless-steel, time-only Nautilus — understated, iconic, and arguably worth even more.

The surprising part? Both are priced more or less the same. If anything, the 5711/1A commands the higher value.

So, which one are you choosing?

We have both in stock. 😈

Two Daytonas. Two generations. One unmistakable icon. 🏁

Side by side, the differences become surprisingly noticeable — the bezel profile and surrounding edge, dial layout and proportions, sub-dial treatment, case shape and the finer details that separate one generation of the Cosmograph Daytona from the next.

But we’re not telling you which is which. 👀

Can you pick the 126500LN from the 116500LN?
Drop your answer below.

Both examples are currently available for sale at Calibre24.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Panda” 116500LN — New Old Stock.

Finding a discontinued 116500LN today is one thing. Finding one preserved in unworn, new-old-stock condition is becoming a completely different proposition.

The 116500LN represents a particularly distinctive chapter in the modern Daytona lineage, defined by its solid monobloc Cerachrom ceramic bezel — before the succeeding 126500LN introduced the slim steel outer rim around the ceramic insert.

This example becomes even more compelling as a 2021-dated piece, pairing the now-discontinued 116500LN architecture with Rolex’s newer-generation NFC-enabled warranty card introduced around this period.

The iconic white “Panda” dial, solid black ceramic bezel and Oystersteel case remain one of the cleanest Daytona combinations ever produced — but increasingly, it is the condition and configuration that separate exceptional examples.

Discontinued. New Old Stock. 2021 NFC card. A remarkably difficult 116500LN to replace in this condition.

Rolex Land-Dweller 40 ref. 127334 — a watch that truly comes alive on the wrist.

At 40mm, the proportions strike an excellent balance between presence and everyday wearability, sitting comfortably and feeling remarkably integrated around the wrist.

But one of its most captivating details is the new Flat Jubilee bracelet. Its broad, flat links constantly interact with the light, shifting between bright reflections and darker tones with every movement of the wrist. The combination of polished and satin-finished surfaces gives the bracelet an almost architectural character — and makes the Land-Dweller look noticeably different depending on the angle and lighting.

A watch whose details are best appreciated not in a photograph, but on the wrist.

Two Starbucks. Two very different shades of green. ☕️🟢

Starting with the newer Rolex Submariner Date 126610LV MK2 — instantly recognisable by its brighter, more vivid green ceramic bezel. Introduced as an evolution of the original 126610LV, the MK2 brings back a noticeably livelier shade of green that gives the watch a completely different presence on the wrist.

Beside it sits the MK1, featuring the earlier, darker green bezel — deeper, richer and more subdued. Produced for a relatively short period before Rolex quietly changed the bezel colour, the MK1 has increasingly become the version collectors specifically seek out.

Same reference. Same black dial. Same 41mm Submariner. Yet side by side, the difference is unmistakable.

MK2: brighter, fresher and more vibrant.
MK1: darker, deeper and increasingly collectible.

Which shade of Starbucks green would you choose and can you tell which one is which in the video? ☕️⌚️

There are Nautilus references that are desirable — and then there are those that have become genuine modern Patek Philippe collector pieces.

The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712/1A-001 sits firmly in the latter category.

Produced in stainless steel and now discontinued, the 5712/1A is arguably one of the most distinctive expressions of the Nautilus ever created. At just 8.52mm thin, its beautifully asymmetric blue dial brings together a moon phase, date, power reserve and subsidiary seconds without compromising the elegant proportions that made the Nautilus an icon.

This particular example dates to 2019, placing it amongst the later years of production before Patek Philippe ultimately discontinued the steel 5712/1A.

For the collector, it represents an increasingly important chapter in modern Patek history: a discontinued, complicated steel Nautilus from an era that is now firmly closed.

For the buyer, it offers something equally compelling — a watch with unmistakable wrist presence, serious mechanical substance and considerably more character than a conventional time-only sports watch.

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712/1A-001
🔹 Iconic blue dial
🔹 Stainless steel
🔹 Moon phase • Date • Power reserve • Small seconds
🔹 Ultra-thin 8.52mm profile

A reference that was already difficult to acquire when it was in production — and one that Patek Philippe no longer makes.
