Designer and founder Jodee Collett travelled to all four corners of the globe, soaking in the rich culture and diversity on offer. It was during this time that she discovered a hidden talent and obsession for creating beautiful jewellery. From there, whilst in India, she travelled with her partner, guest house to guest house and the other guests would see her creating, day and night. They wanted to buy the jewellery and from that moment, Kyoti was born, and has continued to evolve and blossom as she has.
Jodee believes in high quality Jewellery that can last you a lifetime, like a piece of treasure handed down as an heirloom. Each piece with a story to tell, often drawing on historical symbols, mythology and of course the earths treasure, constantly incorporating gemstones into unique designs.
Inspired by Mythology and symbology, as well gemstones and cultures from around the world, Kyoti designs steps away from the norm and focuses on what makes someone feel special, meaningful and beautiful.
The name Kyoti (Coyote) came about in a dream. It is a play on the spelling of the animal Coyote. In her childhood, Jodee’s brothers used to call her “Jodee Coyote”. During a dream one evening whilst in Delhi, India - It came to her and really resonated with her, because of it’s deep roots but also Kyoti also because the Coyote is a spirit animal, associated with a deep magic in life and creation.
