She only works with materials like gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, pearls and natural stone, and is stimulated by how these different media relate together in colour and movement to create unique pieces. Sabine has also been fascinated and influenced by jewellery over the centuries; the materials and tools people used, what the jewellery meant to the individual, who wore what and why, and how this has developed into modern jewellery today. Most of Sabine’s work are commissions which she enjoys because it continually challenges her and also gives her the thrill of designing an object to suit the individual; a piece which will enhance, sit well, and bring joy to the owner.
