The red flags you don't want to miss when choosing an engagement ring. π
1. Too much space underneath the diamond
The basket should be designed to cradle your specific diamond, not simply be a pre-made setting that happens to fit it. An obvious gap underneath can be a sign that the setting wasn't properly proportioned for the stone.
2. The diamond points aren't protected
Pointed diamond shapes have vulnerable tips that are more susceptible to chipping. Prongs or claws should sit directly over those points to protect them from everyday knocks and impact. If the tip is exposed, your diamond is left unnecessarily vulnerable.
3. A band under 1.8mm
A delicate band may look beautiful, but an engagement ring needs to withstand everyday wear. Bands under 1.8mm can be more prone to bending or warping over time. Your ring should be designed for real life, not just the perfect photo.
At Siara by Ark, we believe beautiful jewellery should also be thoughtfully designed, proportioned and made to last. Because the details you can't always see are often the ones that matter most. β¨
