Meet 'Abby' our new Abrolhos Pearl ring🌹

Pearls from the Abrolhos Islands off Geraldton in WA are rare because they come from the Black lip pearl oyster (Pinctada maxima) made famous for its Tahitian and Cook Island black pearls. When grown in the cooler waters off the Abrolhos Islands they produce these unique pastel colours.

Sirene Sea Pearls has a small collection of these pearls selected while doing consultancy work on pearl culture in these islands. It started when Cray fishermen started a niche black pearl industry there and their islands were relatively uninhabited islands other than during the cray season for a few months of the year
