NEW! Orange diamonds are rarer than rare and this new design is one of my all time favourites.

I have wanted to create a Mexicali Mosaico ring with more heft, and more punch, to really hold it's own as a standalone piece, for some time now.

My favourite colour is orange, so when I spied this orange diamond from an interstate supplier, I absolutely couldn't resist keeping it. The fire, the flickers of red, and the warmth of this gem won me over.

I imagine myself sinking like the sun into deep orange sunsets on the beaches of Mexico, Paloma cocktail in hand. Salty, warm, bliss.

This design, like all my mexicali rings, celebrates the repeating tile-like patterns of ancient Mayan pyramids, and that same design in inspiration many of Frank Lloyd Wrights most famous architectural acheivements. Think Ennis House and Hollyhock House, in the Mayan revival style.

The tiles repeat, but are not identical, in a design that makes you want to look closer on every wear.

I created my own 18ct gold alloy with a little extra warmth and richness for this particular ring.

It truly is one-of-a-kind.

The Mexicali Teresa Hoops are still one of my absolute favourite designs, that I wear daily myself. I get comments on them weekly, and you will too if you own a pair 😉 That's the good news.

Now to the bad news.

I have avoided recalculating the cost on these for too long... until today.

Today, these will cost $2800 in fresh gold.

Now, I know I've said I don't do replicas. But I made an exception here.

Solid yellow gold Earrings for Kristina's sister, based off a vintage pair synonymous with their departed and dearly loved Mum.

These were tricky, and also delightful, for me to make. They were costly in labour, I'll be straight up about that. Not everyone would have said yes to this (Both client and jeweller alike!) But sometimes the things that are really special and remind us of the people we love are worth more than just a dollar value. These couldn't be found in a shop ready-made. So they had to be handmade. And that's where I come in!

I also won't tell you how many hollow balls were sacrificed in the making of these earrings. My supplier (for the only readymade piece in these earrings) was giving me a bulk buy discount by the end 😅

Anyhoo. That's how we roll sometimes.

Tomorrow is my last custom collection and half-day before closing for 2025.

This year has been WILD and full of new opportunities and learning. The second half was off the charts! So THANK YOU to each and every client that walked through my door this year. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to create such beautiful & meaningful jewels for you, and can't wait to get stuck in to the stash of new jobs waiting for 2026.

I will be closed from Tuesday December 23rd until Monday 12th January. You are welcome to email over this time. I may be slow in replying! I am taking bookings for custom work to be completed in March/April 2026 as February is already looking rather full.

Please bear with me in the first few months of 2026 as my not-so-baby girl starts school (I'm not crying, you are!!?!) and my routine and business hours change. My days will be shorter some days, but I will now be available on Friday's so hopefully that helps!

Have a very merry festive break and I hope to see you in the studio in the New Year 🧡

Jewellery needs a road worthy check too!

Janice had been saying she needed to get her ring checked over because the claws were very worn... and then the diamond went missing before she made it in.

1-2 yearly checks at your Jeweller will go a long way to avoiding this kind of heartache.

While it's in getting it's road-worthy certificate 😉 we clean it thoroughly, polish it, and can tighten any suspicious claws. It's worth it just for the spit & shine!

Rings made by me always get complimentary clean & checks for life. As often as you like!

If your claws look flat, or are catching, it's time to bring it in for some maintenance.

It's time to call it! What a wild year this has turned out to be...?!

Thank you all so very much for the trust and the enthusiasm in having your custom jewellery made by me. I'm honestly blown away by this year, and in particular the last few months. I can only hope 2026 is on par.

I will be taking consultations for 2026 orders, which will be completed for February. I am pausing consultations for the next 2 weeks however so I can actually catch up on the bench work, but feel free to get in touch to organise a studio visit for late October onwards.

I cannot wait to share all the beautiful pieces I've been working on with you!

Solid 18ct yellow gold Mexicali Barra necklace for Rocío, made from her own melted gold.

I was so in love with this necklace! The mexicali pattern and brushed yellow gold just worked so beautifully 💛

When remelting your own gold, we often get slight variations of colour and hardness to what I'm used to working with in my very consistent stock alloys. This gold happened to have an extra rich yellow tone 😍 and was just perfection to work with.

Jeweller's Bliss.
