Doreen Lyon's intricate and delicate mixed media works have been receiving much praise recently at Gallery NWC.

Doreen lives and works in Wollondilly where she creates prints and artists books.

'I’m a printmaking, painter and nature is always my inspiration. I taught myself how to make eco prints into paper and get the plants into paper which led onto making books. My first book told the story of Thirlmere Lakes during the drought about two years ago.'

When we moved into our space at Gallery NWC Katoomba, we were gifted something truly special — a stunning, locally significant cabinet from the iconic Paragon Cafe.

This beautiful piece was a business-warming gift from Victor and Sharon Peralta of 💛

The Paragon Cafe was renowned for its fine chocolates, and now Gallery NWC has partnered with chocolatiers Zokoko & Pebbly Path to return chocolates to this gorgeous cabinet — honouring a piece of local history. We couldn't be prouder of the quality. 🖤

Note: Due to material costs inflation, these products will now cost $21.95 for 200g packs and $ 12.95 for 100g

Dear friends of Gallery NWC - do we have an exciting announcement for you!

Gallery NWC is hosting a charitable art and craft exhibition and sale from 10 - 21 September. This exhibition will feature work by members of the Garcia & Mitchell families, with all proceeds directly benefitting Boyd Mitchell, a treasured member of those families, to assist with medical and living expenses following non-Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment.

As part of this fundraiser, Gallery NWC has decided to auction a 2-week, premium exhibition space here at GNWC - 188 Katoomba Street, Katoomba, NSW, 2780, in January of 2027! You can be creative with this space, it could be used for a solo or group show, a book launch, live music, comedy, performance, etc. We can't wait to hear your ideas!

BIDS ARE NOW OPEN, with the minimum starting bid at ONLY $300! Contact us via [email protected], or visit us in person within opening hours to make your bid!
