As a personal stylist, my role is to notice, interpret and translate runway looks trends to my clients wardrobes.
So here’s a hot take on afew of the details I noticed from the runway at Brisbane Fashion Festival and what you’ll be seeing more of across Spring/Summer.

Texture is taking centre stage. Fringing, feathers, tactile fabrics and embellishment are bringing movement and dimension to the look.

Colour is getting bolder. Think head-to-toe colour, unexpected combinations and contrasting hues worn with confidence.

Scarves are back in a big way. Worn as a headscarf, neckerchief, tied around the waist or styled into an outfit, this is one accessory with serious versatility.

Accessories are becoming part of the styling, not simply the finishing touch.

Spring glamour, with a little more intention with SACHA DRAKE .

Worn recently at Brisbane Fashion Festival, a look that reminded me why I love dressing for an occasion.

Spring invites a little more drama: beautiful silhouettes, considered texture, a touch of shine and just enough glamour to make an entrance.

Sometimes the outfit isn’t simply what you wear.

It’s what you embody and how you arrive.

| HOW TO WEAR IT • { a black dress }

Spring doesn’t mean retiring the black dress. It’s about changing the way you wear it.

Because the most interesting part of getting dressed isn’t following the formula, it’s knowing where to make it your own.

A black dress is the canvas.
Your personality is what makes it memorable.
For spring, I’m styling it with a little more ease, a little more intention and a lot more you.

Because the difference between simply wearing a black dress and owning the look is found in the details that feel distinctly yours. The shoe you wouldn’t normally pair with it. The jewellery that changes the mood. The statement sunglasses that makes it feel unexpected.
