I'm making a little space for what's next. 🌿

My Tassie collection has been part of Hulley Jewellery for a long time, but I've been rethinking and reimagining what a new Tasmanian collection could look like.

So before I turn the page, I'm giving some of the current collection a little send-off.

The Tassie collection is now on sale.

If you've had your eye on one of these pieces, this is a rare chance to take one home for less than usual.

Sales are not something I do often — when each piece is handmade in my studio, in small quantities, there's not usually much room for them.

I nearly walked straight past this.

A tiny patch of lichen fallen from a tree, a miniature world really, with all these colours and textures hiding in plain sight.

This is why I look twice.

And why si much of what I make starts with simply noticing what's around me. 🌿

Nature has never been boring.

The closer you look, the more incredible it becomes. Tiny lichens, weathered rock, curling forest forms... the details most people walk past are the ones that inspire every piece I make.

If you've ever stopped to admire the textures on a bushwalk, picked up an interesting stone, or wondered what was growing on a fallen branch, you're my kind of person.

This jewellery is for the noticers.

Have you ever looked closely at a lichen?

Most of us notice the colours or the patterns, but tucked among them are tiny cup-shaped structures called apothecia. They're the fruiting bodies of the some species of lichen, where spores are produced and released.

The little silver cups throughout my Forest Lichen Collection are inspired by these remarkable details.

This is one of the things I love most about designing from nature. The inspiration isn't always the obvious part. Often it's the tiny details that many people walk past without ever noticing.

Maybe that's why I keep coming back to lichen....they reward curiosity.

Next time you're out on a walk, take a closer look. You might be surprised by what you find.

I've not quite come down from the high of my first Salamanca Market yet… and I already can't wait to do it all again!

My first Salamanca Market... what a day!

After weeks of making jewellery, figuring out my stall setup, trying to make enough stock and changing my display more times than I care to admit, market day finally arrived.

Cue the sleepless night before, the early start, and somehow talking more in one day than I had the entire week beforehand. By the end of the day my cheeks were sore from smiling, and when I got home I realised I'd been walking around with raccoon eyes for who knows how long (thank you 'natural' mascara). 😂

But more than anything, Saturday reminded me of a few things.

How incredibly blessed I am to have such an amazing family and to be surrounded by a village of beautiful people who have cheered me on, helped me prepare and celebrated every little win alongside me. You know who you are 😉🥰

And just how special the market community is.

A BIG thank you to 's Cottage for your kindness and generosity. Your help made my very first Salamanca market feel so much less overwhelming.

Working alone in the studio can sometimes be a little like sending things out into the world and hearing nothing back. You post on social media, make your work quietly, and hope it connects with someone.

Then you spend a day at the market, meeting people who truly get what you're trying to create. They notice the tiny details, share stories about places they recognise, and get genuinely excited about jewellery inspired by Tasmania's wild places.

And honestly... that's the best feeling in the world!!

To everyone who stopped by, chatted, tried pieces on or took a little piece of Tasmania home with them—thank you.

I came home exhausted, incredibly grateful, and full of hope. I can't wait to do it all again. 🌿
