It's really interesting to see what my steampuk creations mean to people or what they remind them of ✨️

When I started working on the Body Machine collection, my idea was to fuse the organic and the mechanical. For me, the main inspiration was the notion that our bodies are machines ⚙️

However, for many people, these steampunk pieces represent their or a loved one's battle with a defect, injury, or illness; sometimes their occupation ...

Whatever it may be, I'm really grateful so many of you love this collection as much as I do 🖤

Hearts are my far the most popular organ from my Body Machine collection.🫀

Because of all the positive feedback I received, the hearts have definitely been at the forefront for the past couple of months.

As a result, the other organs included in the collection have kind of been neglected ... However, now that I'm down to the last 2 hearts, maybe it's time they're in the spotlight! 😁

Another reason why I rarely dismantle watches is that your average modern watch contains mostly plastic parts and thin, flimsy metallic plates.🤷‍♀️

However! Sometimes, you can stumble upon little treasures - such as this micro chip! 🤩

I only came across 3 so far, and I used all of them in my anatomical skull necklaces.💀

Two have already sold, but this one is still available in my shop! 😊

I normally order my watch parts online because it's more convenient than dismantling the watches myself - and also, I have no idea where I'd get that many broken watches to begin with 😅

However, if I do get my hands on one, I always enjoy the challenge of taking it apart and using it in my creations💪

For example, I made this particular anatomical skull necklace with watch parts from my mum's broken wristwatch 😊
