Understanding the difference between Gauge and Diameter is key to getting the perfect fit.

The biggest point of confusion is ALWAYS Gauge (G). ‼️ Remember this rule: The HIGHER the number, the SMALLER the gauge.

Look at the chart:
🔹 20G (the highest number) = 0.8mm (the thinnest wire).
🔸 8G (a lower number) = 3.0mm (the thickest wire).

Then we have Inner Diameter (mm). This is how wide the ring is across the inside (as shown by the lines). This measurement controls how snugly or loosely the hoop will sit against your piercing.
