October is the month of Opal and Tourmaline:

Ancient Greeks thought that opals symbolised purity and hope, due to their light colors. They believed that the stones gave the gift of health to their owners. Bedouin tribes also believed that opals contained lightning that fell during storms. Quite fascinating! 🤩

In ancient Egypt legend, tourmaline was thought to travel along the rainbow to collect all of its colours, which makes it have so many different colour variations. Tourmaline is the stone of expression and art - it ignites the creativity in an individual. Different colours are believed to have different properties. Pink tourmaline (October’s colour) is associated with compassion, joy, gentleness and love. 🥰
