Yalburu Weaving Yalburu in our language means happy. I make hand woven earrings and baskets. Minyahgu Jingi Wahlu, hello how are you? Welcome to Yalburu Weaving.

My name is Kristie Currie and I am a proud Mununjali woman. I was born in Beaudesert and was lucky that I spent a large part of my life on country. I now reside on the Gold Coast on Kombumerri country. Yalburu in our language means Happy. I chose this name as weaving makes me happy, it helps me to feel connected and also calms me. I make earrings and baskets to order. Please browse the gallery and feel free to message me if you have any questions. I pay my respects to our Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which I now reside, the Bullongin people.
