Hairpins were once a symbol of status, with intricate designs requiring great skill and precision.
Claire, our Australian representative at the WorldSkills Games in Shanghai, has brought this beautiful bird hairpin to life.
Handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, it took 22 hours to make and weighs just over 30 grams. With no gemstones and a matte finish, her craftsmanship is on full display. It is approximately two weeks until Claire jets off to Shanghai and she has done an exceptional job on this hairpin, and we couldn’t be prouder.
