WHAT is rhodium plating, and WHY does your jewellery need it? Keep reading…

If you wear white gold jewellery, rhodium plating is an important part of keeping it beautifully white.

Why? 👉Because gold is naturally yellow. White gold is created by mixing pure gold with white metals such as silver, palladium, or nickel, but it still has a slight warm tone underneath.

Rhodium, which is a precious metal from the platinum family, is then applied as a thin coating over the white gold. This gives your jewellery that CRISP, BRIGHT WHITE finish we all love and helps protect it from everyday wear.

Over time, this coating naturally wears away, which is why regular rhodium plating is recommended as part of your jewellery maintenance.
