Bundy History Hunters

Bundy History Hunters We can find your lost jewellery, MESSAGE US.
3 blokes, metal detectors, the bush, history & research hopefully = old coins and relics. Cheers .... Ben & Darren

We are always looking for new areas to detect, so if you have a spot, please give us a yell. Primarily we chase old coins and always intend to pass on any historically significant items to an appropriate museum and return any personal items (like dog tags or jewellery) back to the person or family. We are both efficient at recovering items from grassed areas with little or no evidence of extractio

n making it possible to do yards without damage. While we both do huge amounts of research, there is nothing like local knowledge. If you know of a place or person that can help us further in our please let us know. If we are detecting on a site that you own, we will gladly show all our finds to you & share the exploration with you. Our area that we prefer is within 300km of Bundaberg but will travel further for the right site. We look for...
Old house sites or homesteads. Old camps, pubs or coach stops. Old Military camps or training sites. Old Mining townships, racecourses or sportsgrounds. Current land that has been cleared for re-development. We are available for any commercial work to help locate underground metals. If you would prefer references of past permissions, please message us for details.

Another quick recovery!
This ring was lost at Innes Park one day and we were lucky enough to find it on the next mornings high tide. Glad we could return this wedding band to its owner just before their first wedding anniversary.

Had another swing over a spot that was supposedly hunted out. Really trashy spot full of rusty iron that I had long given up on but done well on before. Different detector and patience produced this Rockhampton token from 1863 and a beautiful cricket buckle from amongst a tonne of iron ⚒💪

Persistence in a spot and taking advantage of what might be considered a bad start to the day can certainly pay off.
Our good mate Terry was heading into one of his favourite spots but was stopped by flood waters at a crossing. Not wanting to waste the trip the lads decided to try along the river banks and see what was around.
He came across a signal that was sketchy at best and not ringing up great numbers on the screen but Terry will dig most targets (luckily)…. And boom, this beaut 1852 half sovereign emerged in all its glory.
Great to see the effort that he has put in over 5 years of detecting nearly every weekend pay off. Congratulations mate!!!!
PS… I would be happy with the tea token and bracelet he found that session as well.👍⛏️

Got messaged by two different people at the same time who lost rings at the same beach within about 50 metres of each other. One was a wedding ring and the other a sentimental ring gifted by her mother. Both families were pretty happy and relieved to get them back.

Headed down to the beach so the wife could lay in the sun with a book and thought I would take along the detector for a play. Not long in and was approached by a gentlemen who’s wife’s wedding ring had disappeared off her finger while swimming. A quick underwater hunt and success !! To say they were emotional and happy was an understatement as she had owned it for 50 years. Moments like these make the hobby so worthwhile.

Not every day we get coins but there is always something interesting to be found. Here is an old pocket watch surround and shot gun shells from around the 1900s. 👍

Crazy day in the dirt. It’s been a long time since I have seen that many coins and tokens in the bag at the end of the day. Plenty of old and unusual finds between all of us today too, my favourite was a 1 pfenning coin from Germany. Hope your weekend has given you the pleasures you chase as well.

Pulled out my retired 705 with a 15” Coiltek 18.75khz coil and had a quick swing to make sure it was all working… and boom, just like that I picked up this handful of goodies in a place I have detected many times before…. My own back yard.😁
