Collecting vintage watches is more than just owning old objects, it’s preserving tiny pieces of history.

Some watches were everyday tools, some marked milestones, and a rare few pushed the limits of watchmaking itself.

This Grand Seiko VFA from my personal collection is one of those watches. Built during a period when Japanese watchmaking was redefining precision and quality, the VFA remains one of the most impressive vintage timepieces ever produced.

The hunt, the research, the appreciation of design and engineering… that’s what makes collecting so addictive.

Vintage watches aren’t just accessories, they’re mechanical history you can wear on your wrist.

Sometimes being a watchmaker means collecting the unexpected.
These vintage mainspring packets from the 1940s are tiny works of art, the typography, colours, and graphic design are incredible. A different era of watchmaking.

Available! Link in bio. An outstanding, almost unworn example of one of Universal Genève’s most sought-after dress watches. This White Shadow is complete with its original Gay Frères bracelet, retains its original signed plexi crystal, and presents as a near-perfect example of this highly collectible model.

Dating to circa 1975, this piece embodies the clean, refined design language Universal Genève became known for during the mid-century era, influenced by Gérald Genta. The stainless steel case remains sharp and beautifully preserved, paired with its original Gay Frères bracelet, still fitted with the gold Universal Genève logo tag, an increasingly rare and desirable detail.

The dial features a crisp white finish with elegant baton hour markers, offering the understated sophistication the White Shadow is celebrated for.

Powered by Universal Genève’s micro-rotor automatic caliber 2-67, the watch maintains its ultra-slim profile while delivering excellent performance. The movement has just been professionally serviced and is currently keeping excellent time.

Overall, a beautifully preserved and highly original example, exactly what collectors look for in a White Shadow.

Available soon. There’s something quietly captivating about a vintage Universal Genève White Shadow.

Born in an era where elegance didn’t need to shout, the White Shadow slipped effortlessly under a cuff. Ultra-thin, refined, and powered by one of the most beautifully engineered micro-rotor movements of its time.

Decades later, that same restraint is what makes it special.

The soft silver dial, the clean lines, the weight (or lack of it) on the wrist. A reminder of when craftsmanship came before attention.

It features the distinctive dual bezel design, with a metallic rotating bezel on the case and an inner rotating bezel surrounding the dial, originally designed for yacht racing timing.

The watch has been serviced by us and is running well, with all functions operating as intended.
