A glimpse at a beautiful, completely original Seiko 6105-8000 Slim Case, just as we received it.

The watch retains its original dial, hands, case and bracelet, with the honest patina of almost 60 years of age.

We’ll now carefully service and clean the watch while preserving its original character — no polishing, no refinishing, and no unnecessary restoration.

Once the work is complete, this lovely 6105-8000 will be available for purchase at Tempo Prima.

Small movement. Serious engineering.

The Universal Genève Microtor is one of those movements that makes you stop and appreciate just how clever mechanical watchmaking can be.

Developed by Universal Genève in the 1960s, the Microtor did away with the conventional winding rotor and instead used a miniature oscillating weight integrated into the movement itself. The result? A beautifully engineered automatic movement that could be made exceptionally thin without sacrificing the character of a proper mechanical watch.

It was this remarkable movement that powered the iconic Universal Genève White Shadow range, watches that were astonishingly slim, beautifully finished and years ahead of their time.

There’s something particularly satisfying about looking at one of these movements under the loupe. Everything is compact, purposeful and incredibly well made. No wasted space, just clever engineering packed into a tiny package.

A perfect example of why vintage Universal Genève deserves far more attention.

This is a superb example of the Universal Genève White Shadow, an in-house design, influenced by the same mid-century modern design language Genta helped popularise during his time with Universal Genève. Dating to 1967, freshly serviced by us and presented in excellent vintage condition. The White Shadow is one of Universal Genève’s most elegant mid-century dress watches, celebrated for its ultra-slim profile and innovative micro-rotor automatic movement.

Available now. This is a particularly interesting example of the highly sought after Seiko 6306-7001, dating from August 1981. The 6306 was produced for a relatively short period and is considered one of Seiko’s most desirable vintage Japanese market divers, particularly because it houses the 21 jewel Calibre 6306A with hacking seconds.

The watch is a late production 6306-7001, making it an especially interesting example for collectors. The caseback serial number dates the watch to August 1981, placing it towards the end of the 6306’s production run.

Available soon! Introduced in 1965, the 6217-8000 was Seiko’s first dedicated dive watch. The early Small Crown models were produced for just two months, April and May 1965.

Seiko then revised the design, replacing the small crown with a much larger one on the 6217-8001. Because of their extremely short production period, original 6217-8000 Small Crowns are becoming increasingly rare and highly sought after by collectors.

A fascinating piece of Seiko history and the beginning of one of the world’s most iconic dive watch families.

One of Seiko’s rarest quartz divers, brought back to its best.

This December 1984 JDM Seiko 7548-700C “Teal Dial” has just completed a full service and final adjustment. In this video, it’s being tested on our Seiko QT-99 Quartz Tester, where we’ve regulated it to an incredible accuracy of +0.00 seconds per day.

While real world accuracy will always vary slightly depending on temperature, battery condition, and how the watch is worn, it’s immensely satisfying to see a 40 year old quartz movement performing exactly as Seiko intended.

Available! Link in bio. Presenting the iconic and ultra cool Seiko 5 Sports “Diver,” a 25-jewel automatic watch made in August 1968. Just serviced and in fantastic condition, it’s ready for many more years of wear. This original piece was the inspiration behind the popular 2023 limited edition reissue, the SRPK17.

Originally launched in 1968, the Seiko 5 Sports line was designed for an active lifestyle, offering durability and style for the young and adventurous. This model is powered by the caliber 6106A (the base caliber for Seiko’s 61GS), which is in excellent condition after a full service, running accurately and reliably.

This watch remains in its original, unpolished condition. The Original bezel is well-preserved, rotates bidirectionally with ease, and is complemented by the original bezel insert, also in great condition. The dial and hands retain their original lume and show beautifully. It comes fitted with a vintage bracelet (20.5cm overall length), enhancing its classic appeal.
