Antique Victorian Piqué Pendant Earrings. A lovely pair of Victorian drop earrings featuring elongated black piqué panels, finely inlaid with gold and silver floral and foliate decoration. The tapering teardrop drops are suspended from simple gold ball and hook fittings.

Piqué is a decorative technique, in which fine pieces of gold or silver are inlaid into a dark ground, traditionally tortoiseshell. Particularly fashionable during the Victorian period, piqué jewellery often features delicate floral, foliate and geometric designs.
