Bunya House Welcome to Bunya House, circa 1890. This wonderful historic home is one of the hidden gems to discover visiting Bowral, in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

Guests are able to book via Airbnb and HomeAway. Beautifully renovated with 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, lovely bathroom with underfloor heating and a galley style kitchen. Guests love its open wood fireplace in winter. The Potting Shed at Bunya House is additional accommodation booked separately.

Dried poppy heads have their own form of natural beauty, quite different from the blousy allure they display in their flowering glory. Experimenting today with some in ice cubes, an Instagram tip, and some scattered. Mixture of glorious pinks gifted by and a mauve poppy bought from last year. Fingers crossed for spring 🤞

What a gem is! Well done team and everyone else involved. It is a glorious collaboration with something for everyone. Kick off your visit with a farm tour learning all about the regenerative farming methods employed, followed by a delicious coffee and pastry, wander though the library, perhaps a pre lunch palate cleansing gelato, make a craft crown, learn about bees, walk through the wonderful kitchen garden and lunch at the cafe. A must see for a trip to the Southern Highlands. And the secret every Highlander knows is that mid week is the time to visit and explore. So come and stay in The Potting Shed and let your adventure begin.
