From gem rough to family heirloom 💎

I was recently asked to help create a special ring, from grandparents to granddaughter, for her 18th Birthday.
The gem rough, Australian sapphire from Queensland was collected/fossicked many years ago. We sorted the rough and were able to cut some very pretty gemstones.
A bright blue was selected. Using my clients heirloom gold we designed a classic and simple piece - gold bezels and granule shoulders on silver band.

Commission // Wedding Anniversary

This custom Billy Button necklace is set with three beautiful white Opals in yellow gold bezels. Hand engraved and textured its a delicate piece, perfect for everyday (*with care for those opals of course).

She's just gorgeous! The ring/s and the girl ✨️🩷
Two rings for a beautiful friend, commissioned by her husband.
One, handmade in platinum, featuring a bright blue Tassie Sapphire alongside a pear shape diamond (mined/natural). It could be the sweetest pinky ring ever!!
And, a second piece in which we rescued a beautiful south Sea pearl from its original setting and designed a very fun and fabulous cocktail ring.
Truly a delight and an honour to make such special pieces for you guys, thank you for trusting me with your heirlooms 🩷

From the archive // This design is about 15 years old and its still a popular choice for special occasion wear. This one is heading to a local bride and it makes me so happy that these little leaves are her choice for such a special moment.

Heirloom remodel // This beautiful piece combines my clients own heirloom diamonds with an absolutely stunning cornflower blue Tasmanian sapphire.
Fully handmade in Platinum and 18 carat yellow gold. This is my favourite way to do claws - less joins and whilst time consuming to cut, carve and finish it is a strong and secure method without losing the prettiness of the claw style. A premium finish for a special ring.

These little bows were made last year for my beautiful nieces Birthday. It was a very 'bow' themed year so these seemed the perfect piece to make her.

Nearly done with these custom ring keepers, hallmarks are in!

Handmade, custom shaped to suit the rings they will hold. The opposite of mass produced, they are made with care and skill to hold precious pieces. 🔨

In honour of my clients Birthday today, here is a piece I made for her last year (I'm a bit behind on sharing with you sorry!)
I made a beautiful enhancer clip pendant for her gold chain a few years ago, it featured a huge Killiecrankie Topaz (Flinders Island topaz) and hand engraved leaves.
This new piece was designed to sit alongside the previous one.

She brought in a lovely, treasured family heirloom ring with a very worn light blue stone - this stone was the intended hero. Not an aquamarine although it does a great impression of one, the blue spinel needed refinishing to bring it back to life. We then used some gold from another of her unused rings to hand manufacture the mount and leaves.
A sweet and very precious buddy for the first leafy piece. 🌱

Nothofagus Gunnii Engagement rings // Drawing inspiration from our native, iconic Nothfagus Gunnii (Tasmanian fagus) and incorporating beautiful Tanzanite (referencing and re-incorporating an earlier moment in thier relationship in to the new, forever rings). We designed a stunning ring for each partner. Similar but unmatched.

Handmade in 18 carat rose gold and platinum, featuring a beautiful half carat pear shape natural, certified Diamond, flanked by hand carved fagus leaves and a small round Tanzanite and platinum band.

Handmade in solid platinum with a large natural oval Tanzanite, bezel set for protection of the stone and hand engraved Nothofagus leaf.
