QuiltNSW show opened today with a wonderful Awards Ceremony. Thrilled to receive a Judges Commendation for my quilt, Mesmorphorical.
Inspiration for this quilt is Laurie Shifrin’s Antelope Canyon pattern. The original pattern is 4 blocks and measures approx 76 inches. My version is 16 blocks and measured approx 48” (for memory). Each block is foundation pieced.

Come along to the Sydney Quilt Show next Thursday, Friday and Saturday and see some truely amazing quilts. Awards presentation is on Thursday at 10.30 and ribbons will be on the quilts after the ceremony. Very excited to see what my quilt, Memorphical, has won. Stay tuned!

That Blooming Quilt went home this week after custom quilting. Ditch stitching, cross hatching, pebbling, orange peel, echoing, and paisley background fill - sll freehand!
Client was thrilled with the quilting!

Finished quilting this beautiful quilt today, made by my student, Enid. It is a pattern designed by me, incorporating two traditional blocks - Ohio Star and Nine Patch Chain Blocks set on point. I love the background fabric chosen with the tiny dark blue dots.
Quilting pattern is Plumage by Jodi Beamish. Thread is Madeira Aeroquilt Sky Blue. It looks so elegant.
