⛏ -White cliffs Opal ring- ⛏
This sterling silver, bespoke design, features a mystical piece of Opal straight from the red earth of the White cliffs Opal field, NSW. Land of the Barkandji,Wilyakali & historicaly the Wandjiwalgu people.
Fun fact, around 1890, White cliffs officially became Australia's first commercial Opal field.
It is also my favourite field, aside from Mintabie, SA (rip Mintabie)
Always itching to go back!

This simple but divine piece features what I believe to be a natural orange zircon? Keeping track of all my stones is pure chaos sometimes ╮⁠(⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)⁠╭
Plus it didn't help that when I bought it alongside many other stones, they weren't labelled 😅 eeep!
Either way, this design always reminds me of the amulet of kings from The Elder scrolls: Oblivion, a very regal piece for a very regal friend of mine who shines just as bright as this illustrious mystery stone .makesart x

Hand sculpted and then cast in sterling silver this piece features a warm amber quartz cabochon with divine inclusions.
Small and petite it hangs on a simple silver chain.
I have had some big ideas marinating lately, hopefully very soon I'll be able to share with you all!

This is such a special piece for me, I've been sitting on this concept for ages and finally finished this piece off!
Australian Blackwood finished by hand with wood burnt designs, cast brass holding a magical piece of lightning ridge black Opal on an upcycled leather cord.
I have more of these in the works with different backings, more wood, protea and carved pebbles!
Life's been tough but equally inspiring.

Oooph I finished this beauty in 2023 and oh lawdy it was such a fun concept that I dove into headfirst!
The intricacies of hand fabrication and soldering multiple components was a challenge and a half, alas the stone cracked a wee lil bit ( thankfully it was only superficial and didn't affect the structural integrity ) 😅
I knew I was risking it for the biscuit and that was when I learnt my lesson on what not to do next time haha.
This piece is such a good representation of my passion my happy place bringing me pure joy, pushing the boundaries of what may be considered conventional, taking a risk for the reward is unlike anything else.
The most heartfelt compliment that has stuck with me, was from my incredible teacher at uni, Mary.
' You play VERY well.'
