TONIGHT, Thursday 4 Dec is when the moon rises around sunset. TOMORROW, Friday 5 Dec, the sun sets around 7.45 pm, and the moon rises at 8.25 pm. Normally we would walk the labyrinth when the full moon rises around sunset, but tonight I'm out of town, and tomorrow I'm already double-booked for the evening... So - if you'd like to walk the labyrinth this December full moon I'd suggest you pick your moment, take a friend and walk when it suits you...... Remember that Summer Solstice is in the middle of the night between Sunday 21, and Monday 22 December, so we could walk together on either evening or at dawn on Monday?
Also, as a first notice, I'm going to lay out a large canvas labyrinth in the Armidale Mall (just outside Tattersalls Hotel), between 3-6 pm, to offer a space for reflection on the past year, and a hopeful imagining and envisioning for 2026. It will be part performance-art, part community building, and I'll need at least 3 helpers to lay out the canvas and roll it up again. Please message me if you can help. 🙂 Joy
