It is with a heavy heart and very dehydrated eyes after many tears that we let you know that our son/brother and business collaborator Lachlan Mathew White has passed away.
How amazing Lachy was cannot be described with mere words, but everyone who met him will tell you he was the kindest soul. For those of you who don’t know Lachy was diagnosed with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy at a very young age. Duchene is a degenerative muscle disease that slowly wasted away the muscles of the body. As his condition progressed we began helping him more and more with his 3D printing until we essentially became his faithful employees.
He faced more adversity than many of us will ever experience in our lives. He was diagnosed young, began experiencing reoccurring falls, broke his hip due to lowered bone density, went through physical therapy to walk again, began developing vision issues that required surgery, broke both of his femurs, became confined to his wheelchair, struggled to get the funding he required to live a full life from the NDIS and went through more support workers than you can imagine before finding people who eventually became part of the family. His hospital visits were becoming more and more frequent, but we did not expect this day to come for many many more years.
Lachy is gone but we want his legacy to continue on through his 3D printing that he had been doing for over 10 years. In his spirit we will continue to 3D print, the proceeds from prints sold will go directly towards funding his funeral to give his life the celebration it deserves. Some beautiful members of his support network have assisted us in setting up a gofundme as well to raise funds for his funeral❤️
