The past few weeks have felt heavy.

Not long after making the difficult decision to return Teddy to his foster carers, we unexpectedly lost our sweet Billie.

We still don’t have any answers.

The house feels quiet. Empty in ways I wasn’t prepared for.

I’m learning that grief is all over the shop. Most days arrive wrapped in a thick fog, with random pockets of lovely memories beginning to shine though.

Through darker days, I always feel drawn to the sea. Its mood has seemed to mirror our own lately. Grey. Sometimes still.

In moments of quiet I’ve felt drawn to much darker stones than usual as I consider future collections. Something I’ll share soon.

For now just a few moments collected lately.

A quiet weekend at the dining table 🤍

I’ve been learning orthographic drawing, which is when you map out a ring from every angle.

Years of rough sketches and too many iterations later, I’m finally making the time to learn the skills properly before the next collection goes to my team.

Today I did my first rough of the Orbit spinner. Turns out this is exactly the kind of slow work I love most.
