An evening with the wonderful and eloquent Katerina Perez! Last month we attended a splendid evening in Sydney hosted by The Diamond Guild of Australia featuring Katerina Perez. If you have Instagram and are interested in the world of high jewellery, you should already be following her Instagram!
A voice for colour and jewellery Katerina promotes the sparkling world of coloured gemstones in high jewellery. It was wonderful listening to her insight on colour and the opinion on the Australian Jewellery Market. She speaks volumes on what we as The Gem Monarchy have been trying to promote for the last 7 years.
The use of colour in the Australian Jewellery Market is low, compared to that of other international markets. The reason being two-fold, a large reliance on diamond as a commodity by jewellers and secondly the lack of promotion and education of colour. The Gem Monarchy seeks to be at the forefront of this new change and promotion of colour, with premium quality being the main focus (not catering for affordability or carat weight).
