One of the surefire ways to protect and even increase your sales is to identify your customer’s pain points. How, you say? Here are some leads to get you started:
·   Find the flaws in your product. Look at your offerings from a consumer point of view and discover whether its lack of variety, price-branding mismatch, discomfort and low wearability, etc. that is making your customer look elsewhere.
·   Get in touch via email and ask for feedback.
Ask a few short questions or for your customer’s quick feedback on service to see where there’s room for improvement.
·   Get your sales team talking and taking notes.
On why the prospect liked/disliked the product offering, why it wasn’t bought, and how your product compares to your competitors’.
Really listen to your customer about your shortcomings and address them regularly so your brand is a true puzzle fit, with solutions for every problem in the pre-sales, sales and after-sales stage. After all, getting a new customer is 7 times more expensive than retaining an existing one!
