✨ I’ve been meaning to share this for a while, and many of you have noticed that I’ve gone a little quiet.

For now, I’ve decided to put Busy Baba classes on pause so I can focus on my family. There are little feet and growing minds in my home that I want to pour everything I have into — the precious hearts God has trusted me to hold. 💛

This wasn’t an easy decision. I’ve absolutely loved spending time with all the mamas and babas who have come through my doors each week. You’ve filled my heart more than you know.

But this isn’t goodbye — just a new season. 🌿

While I’m focusing on my own little family, there’s a beautiful new way for us to stay connected. Introducing Busy Baba & Mama Adventures — a relaxed community of moms (with babas of all ages) who meet up in different locations throughout the week.

If you’re a mama craving some connection, fresh air, and conversation, this group is for you. There’s bound to be another mom who just gets it. 🤍

Send me a message if you’d like to join — and the best part? It’s completely free!

✨ What’s a normal sleep pattern for a 1-year-old? ✨

By 12 months, your little one’s sleep routine might look like this:

🌙 Nighttime Sleep
🛏️ 10–12 hours of uninterrupted snooze time. Some may wake briefly but settle back to sleep!

☀️ Daytime Naps
💤 1–2 naps, totaling 2–3 hours. Many start transitioning to just one long nap!

💡 Common Sleep Challenges
• Separation anxiety at bedtime 🥺
• 12-month sleep regressions (thanks, teething & milestones) 😴

🌟 Pro Sleep Tips:
1️⃣ Create a consistent bedtime routine 🛁📖
2️⃣ Stick to an early bedtime (6:30–8 PM). 🕖
3️⃣ Make the room dark, quiet, and cozy. 🌌
4️⃣ Encourage self-soothing if they wake up. 🤍

Sweet dreams, little one! 😴

Tracking and hand-eye coordination are critical skills that develop early in a child's life, laying the foundation for many future activities. Tracking, or the ability to follow moving objects with the eyes, begins in infancy and plays a crucial role in visual development. When babies watch a mobile above their crib or follow a ball rolling across the floor, they are practicing this essential skill.

Hand-eye coordination, the ability to synchronise hand movements with what the eyes see, starts to develop soon after. This skill is crucial for tasks that require precision and timing, such as reaching for toys, feeding themselves, and eventually writing and drawing. Activities that encourage reaching, grasping, and manipulating objects are excellent for developing this coordination.

Simple games like peek-a-boo, where babies track your hands and face, or playing with stacking toys, where they must align their movements with their visual focus, are effective ways to enhance these skills. As children grow, more complex activities like catching a ball, threading beads, or even playing video games can further refine their hand-eye coordination.

So, engage your bub with activities that promote tracking and hand-eye coordination and watch as they gain confidence and competence in their abilities, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning and success.

Early motherhood is a beautiful yet overwhelming journey. The constant demands of a newborn, the sleepless nights, and the pressure to do everything perfectly can feel like an insurmountable challenge. It's okay to feel exhausted, to cry, and to admit that it's hard. You're not alone in this; many mothers feel the same way. Remember to be gentle with yourself, take breaks when you can, and reach out for support from loved ones or fellow moms. Every moment you care for your little one, you're doing an incredible job, even if it doesn't always feel that way. Embrace the chaos, cherish the small victories, and know that this season, as overwhelming as it is, will pass. You're stronger than you think, and your love for your baby is the most powerful tool you have. Hang in there, mama—you are amazing.

Experts recommend skipping the sippy cup and going straight to a regular cup to promote better oral development and reduce the risk of dental issues. Sippy cups can encourage a sucking motion that may affect proper teeth alignment and oral muscle development. Using a regular cup helps your child learn to drink more like an adult, improving their drinking skills and reducing the transition time later. Start with a small, open cup to build coordination and confidence in your little one's drinking abilities!
