Hello! We wanted to share where we are after Typhoon Tino.

We came to learn that our studio was flooded hip-deep, leaving a thick layer of mud that damaged our supplies, electrical circuits, and equipments. It took our team two weeks to drain the water, clear out the mud, and sort through what we lost.

But we still stand because of you. We’ve just restored our power supply and are slowly replacing what was damaged. Your generosity has helped us move quickly in our efforts to recover, rebuild, and continue our work.

Thank you so much for your donations, your messages, your help, and for sharing our fundraiser. We may have lost a lot, but we’ve gained even more hope and a renewed outlook moving forward.

We hope to share more progress in the coming days. Salamat kaayo! 💗

💔 MOY Studio | Typhoon Tino Update

I am heartbroken to share that our humble studio was not spared from Typhoon Tino. We left our workspace hopeful and excited to continue the next day, but nothing could have prepared us for what we came back to.

It wasn’t so long ago that we moved here — filled with renewed hope and a new lease on continuing the work we love. As soon as it was safe to head out, I visited our factory, and I was stunned. Debris and trash everywhere. We couldn’t even enter through the door; we had to climb through a window just to see the damage. Our goods, equipment, and supplies were floating in muddy water. I tried to stay strong, but it was impossible not to feel crushed. Everything we’ve worked so hard for — gone in an instant.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected and to those who have lost so much more. This shouldn’t be our reality, and we can’t turn away. Let’s not forget — people should be held accountable.

We had been so excited to share new stories, events, and collaborations this month, but life had other plans. Please allow us some time to pick up the pieces and, hopefully, come back stronger.

For now, our artisans, our studio, and our hearts are our priority.

This isn’t goodbye — just a pause. Please keep us in your prayers.

If it’s within your means to help us recover in any way, please reach out. 🤍
