An hour into an indoor market and wondering why there are no people in here. Each market I do is a learning curve. But I need to invest more effort to find the right places to sell. I’m willing to travel farther than my city. So, if anyone of my vendor friends think a certain market would be a good fit for me, let a girl know!

At least I got to practice an alternative set up. The venue provided the table. And when I saw the wall had a ledge, I knew I was going to use that versus all my risers and props. Being adaptive is important. I do like my set up though. I got a decent view of the beach too.

This big momma is done. Hand knotted with black waxed cotton cord. A mixture of jaspers, agates, amazonites, amethysts, mookite and rhodonites, oh carnelians. Just so many colors and patterns within those tiny stones. 😍 I’m sure I’m parting with this one…

My beautiful mess turn into a beautiful pair of earrings in copper and sterling silver. I love these shell dangles so much. The silver is paired with Moss Agates and a tiny Jade bead. The copper is paired with Rose Quartz and a tiny Rhodonite.

These lovelies and others will be available on May 9th at the Spring Bazaar hosted by located at The Plot in Norfolk.

Hello IG it’s been a minute. Settled into a new job last month, flipping my career path completely over to have a safety net of a paycheck and healthcare. I spent decades working for myself (as a dog trainer) not worrying about my future. As a single woman supporting myself in my mid 50s, and the current climate of this country, it was a strategic and necessary move. I’ll still be making jewelry, starting with a ring for a friend. Rings have always been tricky for me. She wants a black and silver ring. That’s all she gave me to work with. It’s trial and error time now…

Oh…And I’m still training dogs when I’m needed.

I struggled with the concept of these earrings for a month. I made one earring and played with how they would hang dangling from a standard hook. I positioned the hook from the hole in the antenna and then the top wing. No matter where I placed the hook, the wings would not sit up right. I even tried to wrap a hook to the top wing and it just looked odd. So, I decided they would be post earrings. The posts aren’t perfect and swivel a bit when putting them in my earlobe. But once in place, the pair look super cute. I’m keeping these until I perfect the post mechanism and it’s more rigid. Maybe for next spring? Now that winter is coming our way, I certainly have plenty of time to play with it.
