There is something very appealing and warm about beads that reflect amber colors and gold colors when the fall season approaches. We are certainly ready for the season to change and we’re looking forward to seeing Fall Foliage real soon.

I told a friend recently that I’ve really been in a black mode lately. Black Onyx, Snowflake Obsidian, Hematite, Hypersthene. And what pairs better with that than filigree, stampings, crystals, and czech flowers?

This Amazonite stone sat on my work table for some time before I attempted to work with it. The stone is large, irregular shaped, not drilled and had an area of matrix that in my opinion detracted from its appearance. I considered wire wrapping but chose to work with filigree to create something more elegant(imo). A friend and mentor once asked “What did you do with the back?”. Since then, I never neglect to create something pleasing for the back that compliments the completed design of the front.
