Richard Kaempf Jewellery Design Individually designed custom made jewellery and diamond dealer. I studied under Franz Huppertz in Cape Town.

Franz Huppertz was the ten time award winning designer of the Intergold and De Beers competitions. After passing my South African Jewellery Trade Test, I was engaged as a Master Goldsmith with Andrew Grima in London. Andrew Grima was by appointment, jeweller to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and six time winner of the Prestigious International Diamond Awards. I bought the workshop from Andrew Grim

a and opened Kampf and Willi Handcrafted Jewellery in Covent Garden, London. We worked on private commissions and for the trade including Andrew Grima, Van Cleef and Arpels, Adler and then exclusively for Elizabeth Gage. My jewellery appeared in International Magazines; English Vogue, French Vogue, Tatler, Harpers Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. I was honoured to be part of Elizabeth Gage being awarded the Queens Award for Export in 1989. After which I moved back to Cape Town to open Richard Kaempf Jewellery Design. My jewellery was shown at the Cape Town Fashion Week and the Nederburg Fashion Show. I was commissioned to design Countess Victoria Spencer’s Engagement and Wedding Rings as well as a Diamond Eternity Band on the birth of their son. My work also appeared in various South African magazines, including the cover and editorial for the exclusive shoot of Versace’s new Atelier range for Top Billing Magazine as well as Top Billing Television programme.
