The Cats Meow Earrings The CatsMeowEarrings supports Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County's shop Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa. I donate my jewelry and catnip toys to them.

All proceeds support their rescue efforts for feral cats. I have two passions - animal welfare and crafting. Although I maintain an Etsy shop, the majority of my items are sold at Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa (supporting Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County). All sales proceeds are donated to Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County to support their work. My Etsy shop only features a few items. I, bas

ically, just maintain an Etsy presence so that if anyone is interested in purchasing directly from me, they can do so through the shop. Most of the items shown on Facebook can be custom ordered from the shop.

And the good news is: The holiday boutique here at the old folks' home went well. Didn't make quite as much money as last year, but still a decent check to enclose with all the catnip pillows and jewelry that didn't find homes during the boutique.

The good news for all you dedicated The Cars Meow Earrings shoppers is that there are LOTS of beautiful handcrafted earrings headed your way. AND a nice amount of some potent catnip toys for your feline companions.

So - Happy Shopping! Happy Holidays! and Thank You all for supporting charities through your holiday purchases.

Good News! I've been working like crazy on all my earrings and catnip for Pick of the Litter's grand opening! I was running a little behind, but so were they! So - today I got everything packed and ready to ship. Just waiting for the postman to pick up and it's on the way.

I included a few Christmas holiday designs with this shipment, so all you faithful shoppers can get a head start on your stocking stuffers.

Pick of the Litter Santa Rosa is moving! September 25 they will be located at 3620 Industrial Drive. Their last shopping day at Piner Road was September 14.

In preparation for the grand opening of their new shop, I've got a brand new batch of jewelry and catnip toys getting ready to ship! Can't believe we're nearly at the Halloween season! So - here come those Halloween themed catnip cuties - all with nice fresh catnip stuffing. I plan on shipping with an arrival date of October 1, so get ready!

Here are a few pics of some of my favorite earring styles and those fresh catnip pillows.

Well, here we are! It's that time again. I promise myself to send quarterly shipments to my favorite charity, Forgotten Felines Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa. It's amazing how fast those 3 months fly by. Lots to do - and not all of it related to cat charity.

Anyway - got all my fresh catnip toys sewn and some new earrings ready to go. Weighed my package and then sat down to print out my Click 'n Ship label this morning. Well, I'm ready - but the system isn't. Shipping site having issues this morning, but I promise to keep trying. The faster I get that label printed, the faster the faithful shopping supporters of Pick of the Litter will have that luscious catnip for their favorite kitty companions.

Happy Shopping! I promise package will be out as soon as possible!

Good News! The earrings and catnip toys ship out tomorrow morning to Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa. Get ready to shop! They should be on the shelves in the blink of an eye! Generally, the package gets from my place to POL overnight! Great job by USPS. With a little time to unpack and get out on display - the POL volunteers will probably have them out by this weekend.

Happy Shopping!

On a roll! Whipped out a few dozen earrings and 50+ catnip toys over the last few weeks. Was all out of earring cards, so had to print a batch of those, and then card the earrings and put them in their little individual cello bags. Time consuming.

Anyway - will be way ahead of schedule of getting my items over to Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa. Will definitely be sending them by April 1st. I want to get them shipped before the tax returns start flooding the post office.

So - here's a little preview of a few of the latest styles - I promise to post another blurb when I ship. That way all of you can get first crack when the shipment arrives!

Happy Shopping!

Just in time (barely) . . . I managed to get off a little batch of Valentine catnip toys and some nice new earring designs. Hoping everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day and that you treated your fur babies to special treats.

Just got in a big batch of new charms. Look forward to some big bold earrings for you doggie moms. Earrings should be heading your way sometime in mid April. A little something to boost your mood in the immediate after tax season!

December 10 . . . the party's over. The Holiday Boutique has come and gone, and I can rest for a few more months until I start preparing my next shipment for Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County's thrift shop Pick of the Litter.

Blessedly, the Boutique was successful, and I was able to enclose a nice size check for POL along with lots of earrings and catnip pillows for their faithful customers. Just barely in the nick of time for Christmas . . . but better late than never, I suppose.

So, faithful FF supporters, the hard-working volunteers of POL will be unpacking my latest goodies in the next day or two. They may be on the shelves before the weekend.

Happy Shopping!
Wishing everyone a blessed holiday.

December 1st! Wow! How did we get here so fast? The older I get, the faster time whizzes by. Use your time wisely. It will be over before you know it! Been working for months now on my holiday crafts for Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County's Pick of the Littler shop.

I probably have over 100 pairs of assorted earrings - and plenty of new non-holiday designs, too. Some with lovely lampwork beads - and POL will be pricing these to move. Shop ASAP to snap up your first choices. Lots of catnip toys, too. My little elves (yeah, right . . .) have been frantically sewing all hours of the day and night to get a nice selection of catnip cuties for you. This year I've spent lots of time working on some quilted designs. That's a big benefit of living in a senior community and having friends who quilt. I always have a fresh supply of new fun fabrics - all the way from ice cream colors to African and Japanese fabric designs.

My community's craft fair is December 4rth. That means I'll be sending a nice check off to POL a few days after that (hopefully). I'll also send off earrings and catnip toys that day. I always keep a good reserve, so that I save some of the new designs for my POL fans.

Happy holidays to all, happy shopping and please remember to shop the charity shops. Great bargains and supporting some very worthy causes.

Cheers!

Purpose

I have two passions - animal welfare and crafting.

I spend some of my free time volunteering with various animal welfare organizations. My volunteer contributions consist of donating handcrafted items for them to sell - catnip toys and animal themed jewelry including earrings, bracelets and pendants. I truly admire those who work one on one with the animals, giving them love and attention while they await their adoptions. I don't have the heart for it. I used to - but it just got harder and harder to leave them behind, knowing that another day had gone by, and they hadn't been chosen. So - my donations don't involve any animal face time. We do have 2 shelter kitties in our family and they are both treated like royalty.

I don't fancy myself a "jewelry designer". My jewelry is simple - pretty beads and cute charms. They are fun and whimsical and reasonable enough to purchase an entire wardrobe without breaking the bank. I don't hammer my own silver, or fire my own beads. That work is for the artisans - not for me.

Although I maintain an Etsy shop, the majority of my items are sold at various locations to support animal welfare. The organizations I am currently supporting are the San Francisco SPCA, Pick of the Litter in Santa Rosa (supporting Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County) and Vegan Haven in Seattle, Washington (supporting Pigs Peace Sanctuary). Twice yearly, I send big batches of jewelry to The Cat House on the Kings for their open houses. All proceeds of my sales at these locations are donated to the organizations to support their work.
