Gratefully living on the best shoreline in Chicago. A beautiful place to create.

Like many of us
makers, I need
my little "zen" zone
at my desk in order
to keep me
on task.

Quick trip
to a thrift store
for this little
brass tortoise. Hundreds
of beautiful hours,
dawn, day, and dusk,
beach combing for
quartz geodes, cracked
into crystal over
millions of years
when these fossils
lived.
