Combinar piezas antiguas, fornituras difíciles de encontrar hoy en día, con otros materiales similares en el tiempo pero distantes en el espacio, logra provocarme una extraña sensación aunque una inusitada armonía, ¿cómo no compartirla con los demás? De ahí nace Odd Fibulae, de mi pasión por el coleccionismo de joyería antigua de oriente unida al amor por los diseños y materiales de principios de
s.XX de occidente. Esta anacronía se solapa con el mito de un oriente exótico y decadente propio del imaginario orientalista. Joyas “con experiencia”, hechas con materiales “vividos”, que tienen que ver más con la deconstrucción que con el reciclaje. Joyas en las que se produce un choque intencionado de realidades culturales capaces de contar una historia. Odd Fibulae es alta bisutería basada en la fusión de antiguos tesoros de aquí y de allá, reunidos con el objetivo de crear piezas únicas dentro de un estilo bohemio y elegante.

There is nothing for me like combining old, difficult to find pieces with other findings that, although could be found on similar dates, were quite apart from each other. It just gives me an odd feeling and an unusual piece of mind. How was I not going to share this with everyone? That’s how Odd Fibulae was born. From my passion for collecting old ethnic jewelry from the East and the love for the Western designs and materials from the early 20th Century. This blend goes along the lines of an exotic oriental fantasy. Jewels “with experience”, made of “lived” materials that have to do more with deconstructing than with recycling. Jewels that produce an intentional collision of cultural realities and that are able to tell a story.
