Cynna Moon Designs Affordable, versatile jewelry for every day ABOUT ME:
I have collected rocks ever since I can remember. I am mostly a self-taught crafter. CUSTOM ORDERS WELCOME!

In 2008, a close friend convinced me to join her in learning to make jewelry so we could wear our rocks. Rather than move with the trends, I’ve stuck with my own personal style – simple, everyday and versatile. I don’t make anything I wouldn’t wear. As a matter-of-fact, I keep about 1/3 of what I make! ABOUT MY JEWELRY:
Most of my creations are made with natural stones (dyed or treated, but real)

. I try to keep metal to a minimum and as an accent not a centerpiece, because I know many women are allergic (so am I), metals tarnish easily, and I believe in letting the beauty of the stones speak for themselves. I charge what a piece cost me to make, because I know what it’s like to live on a budget and want nice things you can’t justify spending money on. All of my pieces are designed and hand-made exclusively by me. While some can be replicated, some are truly one-of-a-kind (OOAK). Sometimes I never come across certain strands again no matter how hard I try. If you see something you like that sold or want a matching bracelet or earrings, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. I can customize bracelet and necklace sizes and switch out clasps for a $2 charge. I can add extension rings for no extra charge. If you have a bridal party or gift idea you're looking to have customized pieces for, give me a call.

This is not a color scheme I would have come up with on my own, but I saw these beads and HAD to have them! They are an unusual shade of hot pink lab-created Sapphires and natural Peridots. I'll be using my own Peridots to create a full necklace (or may mix them with some hot pink seed pearls). Aren't those raspberry colored sapphires just drool-worthy? Ooooh! Ahhhh! It will be a one-of-a-kind necklace, that's for sure!

This seller has affordable small collections of precious stones like this one that really help kick-start design ideas!

It has been a hot minute right? There was someone following this page to keep tabs on me, and I finally figured out I could block and forcefully unfollow someone (FB didn't used to let you do that from a business page before). Now that that is done I feel like I can freely post here again.

I have some news! Remember when I got some lab-created Ruby beads? They've now come out with lab-grown version of other much more rare stones: Alexandrite and Padparadsca Sapphires! WOOT! I'm sure you've all heard me go on about how my favorite gemstone in the whole world is Padparadscha. It's considered orange Sapphire, but it actually ranges in color from red-orange-yellow to shades of salmon and pink and is most commonly a pinkish-orange. I got these single pieces (picture) from my tiny beads supplier in Texas before I found out I can get entire strands from India (if I get them on sale). There are two shops on Etsy who are selling them in pairs or individually based on the size and color of the bead, and I grabbed some just to check them out.

These are REAL gemstones not fakes. Here is the internet's explanation of how alexandrites are created: "Lab-created alexandrite is grown in controlled environments using methods like the Czochralski process or flux growth, replicating the conditions of natural formation. Natural alexandrite forms over millions of years in rare geological conditions" They are still not cheap, but natural grown Alexandrite is like $18,000 a carat and extremely rare. 99% of what you see in the jewelry market is lab-grown. Those are all faceted stones. Now they're offering smooth nuggets, and I'm thrilled to be able to add some to my collection. I've looked into this and they are legit stones, not dyed quartz/glass. They're selling for $20-50 PER BEAD, so this is why I really want to save up and get my hands on a full strand of each when they're on sale.

The camera will not capture the color-change to blue-grey-green in the Alexandrite but these beads DO color-shift from natural to artificial light. I'll be using these for June birthstone pieces. The Padparascha I'm keeping for myself for now.

I ordered my first three wolf's head pendant beads: Cherry Blossom Agate (pictured), Garnet and Pyrite. The Garnet one is tiny, the others are large. HOW large I don't know yet, but we'll find out! I'm excited to work with them and see how they do in a beaded necklace. While I intended to target the males with them, I'm going to list them as unisex pieces, because women like wolves too.

I made one more piece before going to bed last night. This is Purple Aventurine. I had a ton of leftover beads from years ago, so it worked out perfectly. Purple Aventurine is a mauve-plum-almost-brown color with a lot of variety. It works great with teal/turquoise and pearl. I plan to make another one of these without the center bead.

I'm "this" close to finishing all the birsthone Tiny necklaces. I'm still waiting on pearls from Baro Pearl. It's the BEST shop for everything pearls of every size and shape you can imagine, but it's from China, which means they're probably going to be in Customs for half an eternity. So if you're a June baby, sorry...I'm working on it!

COMING SOON to the Tiny line will be Shungite and Black Tourmaline, then I'll be starting work on the Zodiac ones.

MEANWHILE... I have two combinations of stones I'm trying to design pieces for. One is Angelite with Celestite and Seraphinite (light blue, white and dark green). The other is Malachite with Selenite and Garnierite (a.k.a "green moonstone"). The latter is said to be a powerful healing combination, and I'd really love to be able to provide some pieces of jewelry for metaphysical/healing purposes. Shungite and Black Tourmaline will be in that category, too. Shungite is a well known protector from EMF's, and Black Tourmaline has been used as a general protection stone.

AND finally, I'm going to be doing some more men's pieces with sharks tooth, arrowheads and gemstone-carved wolf heads. I just think these are so cool!

I've had a busy day guys! These are not the best photos, but I haven't had time to stage and properly photograph these yet. I've churned out a River Stone bracelet and Pink Opal tiny necklace (pics didn't turn out), and teal Jade, Prasiolite (green amethyst), Emerald, dark pink natural Ruby and silver Hematite tinies today. Whew! I used colored Soft Flex wire for the first time for the Prasiolite. It's a naturally very pale stone and I thought the sage green wire would help the beads hold their color.

The teal jade was the last strand of its kind that I nabbed on clearance, and the center bead (advertised as Apatite but definitely is not) is the only one in the whole strand that had this cool facet on the front and back of it, so it is definitely a one-of-a-kind piece. I'm kinda tempted to keep it!

Over time fashions, styles and tastes change. With Covid changing how I work and dress, a lot of my jewelry was just too much. I started making smaller, simpler pieces all inspired by one necklace I made several years ago with leftover green tourmaline beads. Now I'm developing a whole line! This is the Dravite (brown/petrol tourmaline) I made for myself and wear often. I'm my own best customer!

PSA - This page is just to post updates on what I'm working on. I do not sell jewelry on Facebook and I don't buy from suppliers on Facebook. If your profile is brand new and you're asking me if I still have something, I'm not answering because I know it's a scam. If you have legit questions about my jewelry, there's a link to my Etsy shop listed in my info. That's the best place to reach me. Unless I personally know you, transacting is strictly through Etsy.
