Tiny Scenic Tiny Scenic is a UK-based independent handmade jewellery brand, started by artist Jo Strange. Welcome! Hello! Thanks for visiting Tiny Scenic town!

The designs have a scenic picture postcard vibe; inspired by a love of model villages, midcentury architecture, road trips, vintage signs and more. We're Jo and Andrew and we make miniature-model houses, swimming pools, eateries and more - and turn them into jewellery. Our aim is to create a whole miniature town of beautifully handcrafted items you'll want to collect for yourself, or as a special treat for a friend who appreciates retro modern style. Our inspiration comes from the road trips we've taken in the USA, as well as the timeless (and sometimes kitschy) qualities of Midcentury Modern design. We get excited by old, beautiful signage, and consider a day trip to a model village a day well spent! I’d like to put in a complaint to whoever is in charge that the bird emoji options are not up to the job. They are just not cute enough. Anyways, my beautiful Louise Crookenden Johnson Ceramics ceramic bluetit reminded me of this song today and I’ve had a proper Be Good Tanyas singalong whilst doing the housework. It’s hanging out here with the latest version of my miniature coffee shop brooch, and I’m delighted to tell you that the lil’ coffee cup icon is now back on the sign 🙌 It’s also had some tweaks to the size (it’s a tad dinkier), to the booth seating and the side panel is now walnut rather than acrylic. I love the mix of three different 🪵s. Will share some pics of the necklace version 🔜

Happy October, pals! Black and orange to welcome in the month 🕷️🍂 (just me or did September vanish in a flash?) Got quite a lot going on this month both in Tiny Scenic and personally so I’ve been time-blocking my calendar and setting myself some deadlines today... I almost always end up doing different stuff to what I’ve actually planned but rather than berating myself about it I’ve come to accept it’s just ‘my process’! 😄 😈

These dinky breeze block studs currently come in 10 colour options but I think I’m gonna edit it down to the best-selling 6 colours soon because my brain is craving simplicity and STREAMLINED-ness. (I have five different email addresses… that’s too many, right? Sorting that out soon too! 😄)

Over the summer I created a mini collection of seaside-themed A5 prints to accompany my jewellery at the South Coast Makers store in Bournemouth. The ‘Chips’ one immediately has me craving a bag drowned in vinegar and salt and a walk along a windy seafront to blow the cobwebs away!

The South Coast Makers shop is packed with indie goodies and run by super lovely folk - pay them a visit on the Lower Ground floor of Bobby’s & Co and pick up some nice bits - even better if you time it with the upcoming Arts by the Sea Festival festival weekend when they’ll have additional maker stalls in the tunnel that leads out to the Gardens 😍

The first iteration of my coffee shops had a little coffee cup symbol on the sign but over the years it dropped off and I’m not really sure when, why or how! Anyway, the little cup is coming back this summer 🎉 ☕️ (ignore the pink window frames on this one in mid-build - that’s just the tape - although maybe I should try some pink frames! 😃)
